Gypsy Camp is located on a 120 acre working farm near Shenandoah National Park. This site established in October 2021 will move locations next few years to a high mountain location with several outbuilding for glamping. Its current location sits above our working farm in a pine forest with fall and winter views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Drive in access allows campers to pitch up to 4 tents on tent pads or on the forest floor. We provide a picnic table, fire ring with cooking grate and a small amount of firewood. This is a primitive site and no potable water, flushing toilets or hot showers are provided. We do offer a small hand/dishwashing station with non potable water, a small outdoor covered changing station with a camp toilet that uses bio bags and a solar outdoor shower during summer months. Campers have access to our farm trails, pond, river property and farm store which provides Animal Welfare Approved beef, pork, chicken, lamb and eggs from our farm, as well as local artist, soaps, SNP souvenirs and camping essentials. We offer some farm experiences by appointment and have rental equipment available for our guests.

We had such a wonderful time at Jennifer’s! The farm was amazing, we scheduled some time to walk around with Jennifer & learn about her farm and pet/feed the animals. She gave us maps & excellent directions to local sites. We hiked the trail at her farm and the next day hiked another trail that she recommended near SNP. The campsite was so thought out- washing station, bio bathroom, solar lights & firewood were supplied. What a great place to spend the weekend. We plan on going back & bringing our friends!

Jennifer and John are amazing host. We loved the farm and the campsite. It was great for hammock camping (we hung three) We really enjoyed that it was primitive yet also established with a picnic table, sink and fire pit. There are gravel pads to pitch three tents and places to have at least 4 hammocks. The farm tour was wonderful, Pickles and Maverick are the stars of the show.

Great milkshakes about 10 mins away in Syria at the store. Really looking forward to going back to Gypsy. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Place was beautiful and owner was very friendly! The tent area was very organized. Loved the fire pit, picnic table, and area to wash your hands (haven’t seen that at previous camp sites). We enjoyed walking around the farm seeing the animals and walking the trails. It was a great getaway! Thank you

it was a beautiful property with lots of space. it was off grid enough to feel like camping but there were things like the sink and the solar shower made it much more convenient. the animals were all sweet and made for a unique experience. jennifer was very nice and told us all about the area and recommended places for us to go. the farm fresh food was also very tasty. i drive a small car and was able to get up the long driveway safely. i would definitely stay again

Jennifer’s property is incredible. An absolute dream. Nice secluded area for camping. She even set up a make-shift dish washing station and mini shower area. I was a female solo camper and Jennifer made me feel so comfortable, safe, and welcome. There was even a cute farm store where you could buy farm fresh eggs, organic meats, etc. The property is so close to many Shenandoah trails. I will be returning here again.

Such a wonderful experience. I stayed here for two nights with one other person, but will definitely be back with more friends to take advantage of this spacious campground! The campground was extremely clean and had a hand & dish washing station, food prep counter, a camping toilet, a solar shower, a picnic table, 3 tent sites, and came with some dry firewood for the fire pit. Only a half an hour from two Shenandoah entrances! Cell service was extremely limited in the area which was a great opportunity to unplug, but come prepared for that. The driveway is being renovated but is currently a steep gravel hill, so make sure that your car is up for that (our FWD RAV4 made it up just fine). Stopped by the farm store on the way out and got fresh meats and great hike recommendations from Jennifer. I'll definitely be back and I would highly recommend this site!

The campsite was easy to find and we loved the set up of the solar shower, the hand/dish was station and the gravel area for the tent. It was spacious and quiet. We loved the farm store and were given a tour of the property… which was beautiful. The farm store had many options of dairy, meat and gifts from local artist. The work they put into their property/business shows immensely! I would recommend this camp to everyone! We were so close to Shenandoah and the ride to/from was stunning.
