Gypsy Camp is located on a 120 acre working farm near Shenandoah National Park. This site established in October 2021 will move locations next year to a high mountain location with several outbuilding for glamping. Its current location sits above our working farm in a pine forest with fall and winter views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Drive in access allows campers to pitch up to 4 tents on tent pads or on the forest floor. We provide a picnic table, fire ring with cooking grate and a small amount of firewood. This is a primitive site and no potable water, flushing toilets or hot showers are provided. We do offer a small hand/dishwashing station with non potable water, a small outdoor covered changing station with a camp toilet that uses bio bags and an solar outdoor shower. Campers have access to our farm trails, pond, river property and farm store which provides Animal Welfare Approved beef, pork, chicken, lamb and eggs from our farm, as well as local artist, soaps, SNP souvenirs and camping essentials. We offer some farm experiences by appointment and have rental equipment available for our guests.

Amazing - will be back!
This place was magical! The camp itself had a great setup with little touches like string lights and other accessories that we weren't even expecting. The farm is amazing too, and our two-year old loved meeting all the animals. Jennifer was a great host and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. The setting is amazing too - we've lived in VA for a while and would have never had reason to see this part of it had we not stayed here.
Our group had an amazing stay at the Gypsy Camp group site. There are three nicely flattened tent areas. Other site amenities include an outhouse/bucket system, a wash-bin area w several gallons of non-potable water, and a large fire pit with wood provided.
Several trout-stocked steams are within 20 mins as well as the trail head to Old Rag Mountain Loop trail. Additionally, there’s an amazing brewery/winery up the hill across the street less than 5 mins away.
The host was very easy to communicate with and gave great detailed info for arrival. They also run a small farm store where we purchased some fresh eggs, cheese, and local meat. This local is a true gem, highly recommend!
Please note there’s very little to no cell service in the area in general (our group had Verizon and T-mobile and neither worked). We were able to access Wifi at the brewery. :)
Our group had an amazing stay at the Gypsy Camp! Great, spacious campsite with three flatten areas for pitching a tent. Extremely well maintained. Site included an outhouse/bucket system, a large fire pit w plenty of wood, and several gallons of non-portable water in a jug in a wash-bin area.
We enjoyed fly-fishing the nearby streams (Hughes and Robinson River) less than 10 mins away. Also, Old Rag Mountain Trail head is about 15 minutes away. And there’s an absolutely great brewery/winery 5 mins down the road.
Host was easy to communicate with, provided detailed arrival information. They also run a small farm store where we purchased some fresh farm eggs, cheese, and local meat. Would return to this camp. Highly recommend!
