Come enjoy Warren Ferry Landing, our expansive and shaded property just steps from the James River! Our property boasts 400+ feet of river frontage for you to enjoy and you can swim, fish, or even launch a canoe directly from our sites.

About the property

Our property is located adjacent to the historic Warren Ferry crossing of the James River. This is one of two historic ferry crossings near Scottsville, VA! The other, Hatton Ferry, is located a little bit down river from this location.

Our property is only 8 miles from Scottsville so if you need to pop into town for something you forgot it is quite easy. There are many other activities that you can partake in nearby or on our property. There is fishing, swimming, hiking, and kayaking all within easy reach of our property.

We do not live onsite but we aim to be easily reachable over the phone or text. If you have any questions before or during your stay please don’t hesitate to reach out. Keep in mind that during the night it is possible to hear some train activity from across the river.

About the listing

This listing is for the entire property which includes our rustic indoor accommodation, the Warren Ferry Cabin, along with a separate designated tent camping area.

In the Cabin there are 2 cots available for your use but please bring your own cots, air mattresses, or sleeping bags to sleep up to 6 people. Make sure to bring warm bedding as well. There is no plumbing available but there is an outhouse on the side of the cabin.

The cabin does not have a kitchen or running water so please make sure to bring your own potable water and cooking supplies. You are more than welcome to cook over the fire pit outside.

The designated tent camping site is approximately 100 yards from the cabin surrounded on 3 sides by trees just yards from the James River. The campsite is furnished with a fire ring with cooking surface and a picnic table.  In addition to the designated tent camping site there is ample space for setting up tents in several areas throughout the property..

Down by the river you’ll be able to enjoy an awesome fire pit platform with adjacent picnic table. Amenities listed below:

-Private fire pit with lounging deck, fires allowed

-Firewood available

-Picnic tables

-Outhouse onsite (bring toilet paper)

-2 sit-on-top kayaks and 1 canoe available for use (first come first serve with other site on property)

-Pets allowed

-Wheelchair access is possible outside, the cabin is not accessible

-Cooking grate is provided, bring other cooking gear

-No wifi, cell reception is limited

Additional things to note

Please remember to BYO potable water and toilet paper for cooking and sanitation purposes. Cell reception can be spotty so make sure to plan ahead before arriving. You may be able to hear train noises from across the river during the day and at night.
