Another great rving experience!
This was our 3rd or 4th Hipcamp stay at the Mark Addy Inn RV site. It remains a favorite. It has beautiful views, is private, has parking, and full hook up with 15-20 amp AC service, water, and sewer. The hosts are welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The Inn dogs are a joy to visit as well. I highly recommend this Hipcamp site.
Great spot in nelson county va
This is a fantastic site for RVers and tent campers. We stayed in the RV site (there is one with potable water, sewer, and 20 amp or 50 amp electric) but there are also 4-5 tent sites with electricity only. The RV site is level and is offset from the Inn building enough to afford lots of privacy. A tree provides shade. The site was clean. Room for parking a towed car on site. We have a 28 ft Class C which navigated into the site with no problem. A larger RV would also fit the site just fine however the trees could use a trim to prevent a larger RV (especially taller) from scraping the sides and top while navigating the circle drive.
Nature abounds at this site. The Inn is on 10-20 acres with lots of meadows and trees. We saw deer each day, lots of birds. Great view.
This location is ideal - close to breweries, wineries, trails. Close enough to Charlottesville and other points of interest.
Finally, the host and her team were awesome. Welcoming, Very friendly and helpful.
We had a great time (actually extended our stay once we arrived) and will return if the opportunity presents!!
My wife and I camped here for two nights and really enjoyed our stay -- beautiful setting with views of the hills in the distance, and a convenient location near Wintergreen, Blue Ridge Parkway, and the southern entrance of Shenandoah National Park. We had great conversations with all the innkeepers, and David and Karen made us excellent meals when we chose to buy breakfasts there. The inn is historic and worth visiting -- for folks who want to camp but also stay near a place with wifi and electricity etc, this is a great place to stay.
Another great stay at mark addy!
This was our 2nd stay at the Mark Addy site and we have booked a longer stay again. So, obviously, we love the site. The hosts are great, the site is private. It is under a shade tree on the top of a slight hill with view of the mountains. The RV site has full hookups which is great! Other tent sites have electric. I recommend this Hipcamp!!
Site 2 had 2 big trees we hung our tarp from to stay out of the rain, but the only flat ground for our tents was up in full view of all the inn's diners and cook, which felt a bit weird. The campsite was overall well-located on the Nelson 151 brewery/cidery trail, and only 20-30 minutes from great hikes in the Blue Ridge Mountains. We felt intrusive drawing potable water from the inn's kitchen, but the cook was very friendly and accommodating. Thanks for a great stay!
Pitched a tent at the markaddy inn
This was our first HipCamp experience and will likely to prove our best. The folks at MarkAddy Inn were great and the tent site was perfect. Thanks to David for regaling us with stories and information.
Beautiful, peaceful; gracious hosts
Stunningly beautiful valley. The sites are separate and private, our stay was very peaceful. The hosts were genuine, warm, and creative in their hospitality. They greeted us when we arrived and gave some quick details, and were available if we had any questions/requests. The inn on the property looks intriguing and charming and I’ll be interested in coming back to stay inside a room (after the pandemic). This stay really exceeded our expectations.
Labor day weekend
The set up of sites was pretty confusing. The host was not there to greet us and when we called the number on the door no one answered to assist us. We were looking for site 1, took us about 20 minutes to figure out where it was because the sites were not marked. The site we stayed at was on a pretty steep hill which made it difficult to set things up. The area itself was pretty nice aside from them stating there were trash cans at the site. The only trash cans were by the b&b and the were overflowing.
