Spring is here! $120 for up to 6 campers, $15 for each additional camper. My sites have a Farmstay vibe without the work. All of the sites are located in the low lands of Fort Valley, on an area of land preserved in its natural state in order to encourage native species and wildlife. The Jesse Farm gives you the opportunity to immerse yourself in nature in a pleasant, convenient way.  The Lakeside site specifically, is very secluded overlooking our 5-acre lake with wide mountain views in the background. This site also has its own dock and is just a short walk to Passage Creek. An additional seasonal mountain stream cascades down behind the site and feeds the lake. The property has 1/2mi of Passage Creek running through it and is accessible 50 yards down a trail. This site is waterfront and kayaks and canes are available to enjoy the lake. See guest reviews and the photo gallery for a better look. I also have another listing on the property Creekside Cedar Camp (3 sites). Overall it's an incredible location with great views on well-maintained property. Most groups chose to stay on the property and enjoy nature and outdoor activities. However, locally the Fort Valley offers top-notch Hiking Trails, Trout Fishing, Climbing, Elizabeth Furnace day-use park, and Taskers Gap OHV/ATV park for those that are looking to do more during the stay.  Nearby towns offer their own charm and activities (Front Royal, Strasburg, Woodstock).

We came to Lakeside for a family getaway weekend to celebrate Fathers Day. The property and the experience exceeded our expectations. The site is beautiful and so fun to spend time on with the private dock on the lake, boats to use and fire ring. Eric had great information about the nearby creek and great spots around the area. We didn’t have enough time this time to explore because we didn’t want to leave the farm and all it had to offer but will definitely be back. We highly recommend Eric and his property!

This was our first hipcamp experience and I can’t imagine how we would beat it! This was a perfect setting for private family camping. The site was clean and well maintained. The lake was clean and we all enjoyed hours and hours of swimming. There were kayaks and canoes and a rowboat and innertubes to enjoy. Firewood was delivered to our site before we even arrived. We used the innertubes to float down passage creek which was a lot of fun! The kids caught many fish including some pretty big ones! I would highly recommend!

View of campsite from other side of lake. View of lake from lakeside campsite. View from the Woodstock Tower Fire Lookout.

Wonderful location! I set up a camping trip for my fiancés birthday every year, and this spot was fantastic for our group of friends. The lake is beautiful and you have all the amenities you could possibly need to have a wonderful trip while still enjoying the experience of the outdoors. Not to mention, our host, Eric, was extremely accommodating and knowledgeable!

We had a wonderful weekend tent camping at Lakeside Mountain Stream. This beautiful and vast campsite is the only one by the lake. The other campsites (Creekside) is further away and we did not see any of the campers except when they were there enjoying the lake in the afternoon. We enjoyed fishing, boating , and hiking. Our two 8 year old grandkids learned to fish and even caught a few with a little help from grandpa. The boys enjoyed climbing up the big rocks and playing in the mud ( it rained day before ) and catching bugs and other little critters. The host Eric and his dad came to greet us on our 1st day. Very nice and friendly people. They gave us information of what was around us. They also told us about the bull frogs who 🐸 at night ( they were loud but we actually got used to it and didn’t mind it at all). The sounds of running creek was so relaxing. They also gave us the site map ( very helpful) and toys for the grandkids when we got there at our picnic table (thank you. they enjoyed and played with them right away). Thank you for the canopy. It really helped give us shade when it was so sunny the following 2 days. The porta potty was too far for us to walk at night good thing we brought our own portable potty. Overall, we enjoyed our stay tremendously and would like to come back and be more prepared. We almost ran out of drinking water and underestimated we needed more because of the heat. Thanks again for welcoming us at your Hipcamp site. God bless you.

Our weekend was incredible at the Jesse farm. The sites are all extremely well kept, including the bathroom facilities. Eric is a great communicator, and an excellent host. We enjoyed the opportunity to meet with Chuck and hearing about the history of this beautiful piece of land. Our group enjoyed hiking the grounds, fishing, and all around relaxing at this amazing place. Thanks very much for sharing this with others Eric!

First time hipcampers here and wow what a great start! The host, Eric, was extremely helpful and hands on. He had everything ready on the site before we got there and gave us very helpful instructions and directions. The site is very secluded and sits right on the lake with a picnic table and a fire pit so the views were absolutely beautiful. We had such a great time and will definitely be back. HIGHLY recommend this site, you won’t be disappointed!

This is our third trip back. Can’t say enough good things about this location. Perfect weather for getting out on the canoes. The lake was also biting on this trip. The small creek feeding the lake made sleeping easy. Out of all of our hipcamp sites we’ve been to, this is easily our favorite.

RV camped at Eric's and it was awesome. The site is great with amazing views and right in front of the lake. There is a nearby stream and the sound of water is a perfect backdrop to the frogs and birds that were all around. Firewood was plentiful and the fire ring made a great gathering area for friends. Peaceful and quiet, just what we were looking for. Kayaked the lake, fished from the shore, and just relaxed. Our dog had a great time too. Will definitely be back.
