5 star hip camp and host!
Outstanding Hip Camp and host. I am a return camper and this easily tops my 2021 list of best Hip Camp location. Located at one of the best fishing locations in Virginia. Make sure you go to their website for the fishing information.
Beautiful spot! Right on a gorgeous creek, horses nearby, great place to walk in the country, very private. We stayed at site 4 but checked out the others and all are equally beautiful.
Creekside camping - quiet getaway
Levi is a great host and the property is beautiful. The 4 sites are large and facing the creek. There is some shade under trees along the creek. We had a nice breeze each evening and sat at campfire listening to the sounds of water running downstream. If you are looking for quiet and a little space to get away, this is the spot. There is also a pavilion and swimming hole on site too. We will be back.
Our top hip camp site of the year!
Great host and Hip Camp! We arrived and was at our site in less than 5 minutes setting up. Levi met us at the entrance and we followed him in to our primitive site. Great location right on the creek with plenty of shade and privacy. Bluffs at Cedar Creek have everything coved. Well kept toilet facilities and a great location outside of the camping area to hang out. Pavilion with plenty of dispersed picnic table and comfortable seating. Right on the creek where you can take a dip if you like. Livi"s daughter runs a nice wood operation. We got in and since we were at the primitive site, she even delivered enough wood for the weekend. Even though it is in the heat of the summer you can see a lot of trout swimming around the creek and feeding. Large property with houses, cows and corn fields with roads and paths to take a nice walk around the property. All the sites are roomy and there is plenty of privacy. We used the primitive camp but they have everything from primitive to really nice cabins. We have Hip Camped a lot this summer, Every weekend. Bluffs at Cedar Creek has easily hit the top of our list for a great time and a definite return trip. In fact we have already planned and booked a longer stay. Levi is a 5 star host and the property is the same. Highly recommended!
A perfect weekend on the creek!
If you're thinking about booking at Levi's, do it!
We're locals and had family traveling from out of town to visit. We booked the tent camping site at the creek for the weekend and it was perfect. The spot was shaded & private, with plenty of space for two tents and all our gear. There was a nice fire pit with two wooden chairs - worked out great for our campfire dinner. Be sure to support Levi's daughter's firewood business. She has wood ready to purchase in crates when you check in and she made sure we stayed fully stocked during our stay.
Our family really enjoyed creek sitting in our private little spot, bird watching along the creek, hiking Eagle Rock (just a couple miles up the road...the views are amazing), listening to live blueglass music at Crick Pickin, and riding their 4wheeler to the ridge above the campground. They are already talking about booking with Levi again for their next visit.
Thanks for a great time!
Great stay on the creek!
We stayed at the Bluffs at Cedar Creek the weekend of 18-20 June 2021. A great place to stay. We highly recommend it. The site is clean and quiet. Nice little creek running right behind your spot. Great for wading or fishing. The spots are wide and far enough apart for privacy yet close enough for camping with friends or family. There are fireflies, a couple of horses and a cow in the pasture nearby. Lots of wide open space for the kids to play. We chose the site for the electric and water hookup convenience. Added bonus there is a dump station.
The weekend we were there they were hosting a car/tractor show with live music and food - all of which was over by earlier afternoon. We will have to come back for their last weekend of the month bluegrass concert.
The location is super convenient to all the things there are to do in this area of the valley. Strasburg and Front Royal are close by. All of the wineries, breweries etc. Historic sites and hiking opportunities are all around you.
Thank you Levi for the great weekend. We will be back!
