Very helpful hosts! I came late and didn't really see what I was getting in to and got stuck in the mud. Hosts were very helpful in getting me out! Thanks again!
I am so glad that we chose to stay at this site. It was beyond our expectations and made for the perfect get away. We stayed 5 days, with a five year old. She was plenty entertained by the beautiful laurels (she loves climbing trees) and splashed in the river/creek (it's a big and beautiful creek). The trek in was not as difficult as we had imagined. We brought a lot of gear with us and it took several trips but it was well worth the extra work. We were in complete seclusion with an occasional visit from a couple of friendly dogs. It rained for half of our stay but we packed and prepared and were able to stay dry throughout the trip. Mabry Mill and a couple of neat stores are a few miles up and the road and are definitely worth a visit. I highly recommend camping at this site. Just be sure to bring water shoes to cross the creek.
