We loved the location, it’s both beautiful and somewhat secluded. We booked both camp sites and had the whole area to ourselves. The water is just a few steps away and super calm, so it was great for our dogs to play in. In the evening we enjoyed the fire pit and the sunset.
Tanya (the owner) was super helpful with pictures and videos showing us the layout of the camp site before we finalized our booking. She made us feel at home while we stayed on her property.
Overall we had a really great time and will definitely be back.

Such an amazing space, Tanya's hipcamp spot was a perfect place for our weekend away. The communication and instructions to the space were spot on. The space was great to park our small rv on the property and have access to the water. Tanya was an amazing host and we hope to have the chance to camp there again.

Tanya our host was very kind and her property is beautiful with gorgeous views. However this was not our typical Hip Camp experience. We seek out privacy and seclusion. This site does not offer that. I feel like the listing was maybe not the most transparent. We’ve had onsite owners before but typically it’s with enough acreage that we still have our privacy. Tanya had family visiting and other campers present. This put us all very close together. There is one shared fire pit for everyone on site. And although the beach is clean and beautiful, there are no stairs, to access it, you have to climb up/down a wall that’s approx 9 feet high. If you have trouble with heights or mobility you will not be able to get down onto the beach. So if you’re agile or not interested in the beach and you love community camping then this is the place for you. If you like your seclusion then maybe not so much.

Just to show proximity. This is Tanya’s camper, my Jeep, and another Hipcamper in a sprinter van.

Nicely lit path to the fire pit. Beautiful view of the sunset from the shared fire pit.

Thanks for the feed back Meagan. I have revised the description of this property to more accurately reflect the details. There is a private secluded site in the forest for those who desire more seclusion. Pictures of the bulkhead climb have been added so that others can see that it is 5 feet tall and an easy climb if one is stable and mobile. A stairway is in the plans.

What an AMAZING experience this was! The location was easy enough to find and is tucked away in a lightly wooded waterfront view; great for privacy. The grounds are well kept with a lovely shore line facing the Bay’s sunset. At low tide, you can wade through the 3’ water, kayak, or paddle board to the sandbars a short bit out. There’s a food lion about 20 minutes away and a local winery up the road, which is worth a visit. Bring some bug spray for night and water shoes as visibility of shells and crabs varies.

The host, Tanya, exceeded all our expectations and needs. Very polite, professional, respectful, and hospitable. She’s a great conversation and fun company if you want to meet someone new. She will also respect your privacy and give you space if that’s what you desire.

Both the site and host individually are wonderful but together really makes this experience worth planning a return trip!

Tanya's property is really cool. There's plenty of room to spread out, and we were able to set up easily in our van. If you are tent camping you may want to bring an extra tarp as the grass is a bit bumpy/patchy. The beach is beautiful and the water is great for kayaking or paddleboarding. I'd recommend paddling out a few hundred yards to the left and right of the property to find the untouched portions of nature. Lots of great bird-watching and interesting vegetation. Our dog had a great time too. The beach has the added benefit of being sectioned off by wooden walls, so we could leave him off leash and on his own with no worries. Would recommend bringing a fan and/or bug spray as the flies on the beach could get a little annoying.

Although it wasn't initially expected, having Tanya on the property with us was no bother at all. She was also very understanding and accommodating when an extreme situation forced us to leave early.
