Stacey was so accommodating and her property was perfect for a weekend getaway! Highly recommend!
Disappointing but we made work.
Not as secluded as we would have liked. Host is friendly but a little overbearing.
We had a great time. Very nice site right on the river, lots of chairs, table, fire ring, everything super clean. Stacey is very nice, and the pumpkin roll that she made for us was fantastic. We will definitely be back. Oh, if you want to fish there are excellent spots on the North Shenandoah just a few minutes away, including the Burnshire Dam, home to some killer bass and musky.
Stacey H was an amazing host! I reserved both of her campsites for a weekend getaway with friends. There were 10 of us in total, all couples, and we had enough space to spread out while still enjoying privacy and tranquility by the water. The campsite was very clean and safe. Stacey was very responsive any time we needed extra potable water or firewood. She was also very kind and patient with all of us arriving at different times on the same day (we drove in separately from different areas). We opted for the additional apple pie and bread rolls, and they were freshly made and very delicious! We enjoyed hiking to Kennedy Peak and stopping into Swover Creek Farms Brewery and Disc Golf. All in all, it was a great weekend!
I reserved both of Stacey's campsites for a weekend camping and hiking trip. There were five couples in total and we have plenty of space to spread out and set up camp, while also having privacy. It felt like we had our own private oasis next to the water, while also feeling incredibly safe. Stacey was so friendly, nice, and accomodating of everyone (we arrived at different times as we drove from different areas, so we really appreciate her patience during check-in). It was our first time using HipCamp and we'd definitely use it again. We're even hoping to come back in the summer and stay at Stacey's again! Also, her apple pie and bread rolls are amazing!
This was SUCH a beautiful camping spot! We couldn’t find anything in or around Shenandoah and we were SO happy we landed here. Private, in nature, beautiful, affordable. The horses right next door are such nice company, and Stacey (the host) is even better company!! So so so hospitable. She makes the best bakery goods, so definitely add that to your stay! Stacey knows of a lot of local hiking spots in case the park is too busy. Lots of local things to do, wineries, breweries, caverns, etc. Highly recommend!!!!
Stacey was such a great host (and baker)!! The site is beautiful and well kept.

I am so glad your group had a GREAT time! I hope you will remember us for future trips! Glad you like your pie! :-)

Lets see ...i gave a craft for children to do and paint. I allowed them to play on my grandchildren swing set which was up at my house not at camp site. I also provide clothes for the one child that was covered in paint and was told that he had no other clothes to wear. So, sorrry if you feel that was overbearing!
