Absolutely Perfect in Every Way!
No review could do our trip justice, but I'll give it a shot! :) From the moment we arrived, Robin and her family welcomed my son and me with warmth, comfort, and grace. The farm itself is gorgeous, with mountain views in two separate directions, and several great places to camp. There is a great spot out front with electric, water, and sunset views, but we chose a lovely spot in the back with views of the animals. We could not get enough of the daily farm sounds, from horses whinnying to roosters crowing. My son especially loved the six resident cats. Robin's farm includes a pig, two horses, several goats, geese, ducks, chickens, bees, cats, and dogs - anything a kid (or curious adult) could want. I definitely recommend adding the "farm tour" to your agenda - Robin is incredibly knowledgable and never tired of our endless questions. The onsite store is also delightful and we took advantage of the opportunity to purchase some fresh flowers and eggs. But the true star of this stay is Robin's family and their hospitality. If privacy is your thing, the family is respectful of that. I expected going in that we'd keep to ourselves, but I'm so glad we didn't - Chuck is full of knowledge about the sites in the area, Trent and Georgia are fun to watch care for their animals, and Kendall is a pure treasure and a unique soul. My son Jake hasn't stopped talking about her yet. Finally, Robin herself is the quintessential host - from her fresh-baked muffins to her talent at determining just what each guest might need, she exemplifies the phrase "good people." Between the perfect site and the perfect family, we cannot wait to return to this Hip Camp gem!
