The location was excellent. The view was absolutely amazing. It was quick and easy to get to the trail. We were able to enjoy the state park, although we really didn’t need to leave. Electric water and sewer worked as it should. We will definitely return. It was a fantastic trip.

Best view we could have asked for. This land is clean, well maintained, and the views are gorgeous.
This will be a regular getaway for the family.

STUNNING!!! The views are definitely in our top 3 sites thus far! There was plenty of space for ours and our friends' campers in sites 2 & 3, and our dogs had a blast. We were the only campers there the whole weekend, which was so private and peaceful. Our friends have a 30 foot travel trailer, and they had no issue at all navigating.
We drove the short distance at the bottom of the hill to the New River Trail, where we were able to let the dogs run around off-leash for a couple hours.
All in all, fantastic stay, beautiful property, perfect views.

Easy to find, easy to set up, and peaceful the entire time! Nice views right off the back of the site too! If you have a larger unit (longer than 30 ft.) I recommend bringing a couple of boards to help level the back. AT&T and Verizon cell service worked fine, my jetpack streamed our TV and internet. We'll be back!

This was our second stay in the last two months. It is by far our favorite place to camp! It is a very private type of campground with an amazing view! There is on ground access to the New River state park 57 mile bike and hike trail! The hosts check on you and they are always adding things to private campground like tent sites.

Very delightful stay. Wonderful wildlife activity. Our toddler enjoyed walking around the campsites (we were one of two campers), and enjoyed walking down to the State Park trail. If you continue down the road, it ends up at one of the state park posts. We also drove to the actual New River Trail State Park, which was 20 mins away, and $7 parking (cash/online). Bring a picnic if you go there, and bicycles. For the campsite, just bring extra flashlights to look off in the distance at night. You can possibly see deer. Beautiful views, clean campground. Keep an eye on little ones from the cliffs. We were in site 3 with a 40ft fifth wheel, and our parents visited for a night with a 20ft enclosed trailer and truck. We parked everything in our campsite easily (with permission from campground owner). We loaded our trash out in bed of truck, and have passed the word on for other family members to visit there!

Rivers Edge Campground was absolutely stunning! It is Big-rig friendly, we have a 36' class A RV with a tow and had no problem! The sites are large, level and all gravel.....we stayed in sight #4 and totally recommend it!! Stunning views and so private! The camp borders the New River Trail State Park with hiking access to it and just a short drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Beautiful area, and Jim the owner was super nice and accommodating!! If we're in the area again we will definitely be back! Thank you Jim for an outstanding camping experience!
