UPDATES: I  made many changes to the Tiny Rose Cottage over the winter. I  added a covered deck offering 6'x13' covered outdoor space which includes an outdoor kitchen space and a covered lounging area.

On the inside of the cottage, I removed the tiny bathroom to expand the living space to accommodate 4 persons (2 double beds). The kitchen has moved within the structure and has everything it had last year with the addition of a small refrigerator, and several other tiny appliances such as an air popcorn popper and a mini food chopper.  :)

We had several groups stay at the cottage last year with some sleeping inside and others pitching tents or sleeping hammocks. I built a larger bathhouse to accommodate more than just those staying in the cottage. It has a 3ft x 3ft shower, the portable toilet and the addition of a vanity - best little outhouse in the woods - we promise! There is hot water and electricity in the bathhouse.

The price per night includes sufficient wood for your campfires during your stay. Once that wood is used, you can purchase additional bundles at an additional charge of $5 per bundle. My yummy baked goods and farm fresh eggs went over well last year and I will offer the same items this year with the addition my ooey gooey homemade cinnamon rolls.

In Oct of 2020, I installed a tiny house heater to the tiny cottage which comfortably heats up to 150 sq ft. keeping it cozy in the cottage thru the chilly nights.

Rose Cottage is GLAMPING at it's finest (it even has a ceiling fan which will keep you quite comfortable). Available April thru November. Tucked in the woods (about 100 yards in the woods behind our home) with a small kitchen-dining area.

A new bathhouse is furnished with a full shower,  a nice vanity and portable toilet. It is perfect for 1 to 4 campers!  The floors are of the finest pergo flooring and the interior is pine shiplap - you can't beat the fragrance of the wood when you step inside - just like being in a pine forest! There is space outside for others to pitch tent(s) or hang sleeping hammocks from nearby trees. A 6x13 covered deck will allow you to take in the serenity of the national forest. A campfire ring is available with firewood supplied. We also have a small propane grill for your outdoor use and an outdoor cleaning table with a sink for washing dishes. New this year is also a large outdoor table with benches for accommodating larger groups.

We have a nice walking trail through our property to the small pond we built. We have stocked the pond with bass, catfish and bluegills. The summers have been hard on the pond lately, the pond nearly dried up, and we lost a lot of our fish. We ask that you only catch and release at this time. Fishing in our pond is excellent for the first time fisherman to have a successful experience! Lake Laura is about 4 miles away and much tougher fishing for the experienced fisherman. There also the Shenandoah River or several local streams stocked with trout (in the fall and the winter - they don't stock in the hot summer months).

Activities nearby include stepping off our property into the George Washington National Forest to hike along the many trails or head over to Bryce Four Season Resort (only 4 miles away) for a full day of golfing, grass skiing, mountain biking, zip lines, snow skiing, snow boarding, tubing and many other activities .  In addition, Lake Laura is also just 5 miles away for fishing, boating, hiking, beach and swimming. There is also a nice lazy hiking trail around the entire lake. The Shenandoah Valley Music Festival is just 5 miles away and offers a variety of outdoor concerts during the summer - view their 2021 summer season at musicfest.org.

Your stay at Rendezvous Farm, a 16-acre working hobby farm bordering George Washington National Forest on 2 sides, offers you over 1 million acres of public land to play in.

Rendezvous Farm is also within an hour of several caverns, several civil war battlefields, the Shenandoah Civil War Museum, The Edinburg Mill Museum and the North and South Forks of the Shenandoah River. The Appalachian Trail is a half hour drive from the farm. This area has much more to offer. Feel free to inquire about what interests you.

Come relax and enjoy!

This was our second time staying here and it won't be our last! The improvements since the last time made a really beautiful place even better. The tiny cottage is now more spacious, heated, and has a bigger bathroom and a more comfy bed - plus a covered porch area. Make sure to order some rabbit to grill over the fire if you're so inclined, it's delicious. Same with all of Peggy's baked goods. It was Stefanie's birthday during our trip and Peggy even made her cupcakes. It's just that kind of attention to detail and extra kindness from the hosts that will make your stay here so memorable. We love Allen and Peggy and the Tiny Rose Cottage, and we will certainly be back!

This was a return trip for me. I love rendezvous farm. It is so peaceful there. The cabin has all the amenities you need and is so clean and well maintained. The owners of the farm (Peggy and Allen) are so lovely. And the food Peggy makes and delivers are so tasty i crave them year round. I will go back again.

We had a wonderful staying here. Our party is a mixture of campers and non campers and this was a good compromise of amenities and fun. We liked how private this was, you are alone and it's quiet. Peggy and Allen are wonderful hosts and even gave the children a farm tour one morning. The cottage was well stocked with tools and had a heater for the cold nights. Loved the cozy outhouse and little touches to make our stay easier. Try the eggs they are wonderful. Don't bring your sports car, the driveway up here is uphill and bumpy. We will be back.

I LOVED my stay here. Just what I needed- some r&r and having the setup already there made it super easy and makes unpacking easy too. The only thing from my camping supplies that I’d recommend bringing is a washing basin because the sink is really small. Otherwise, they have everything! The cabin was far enough away from the other people camping that I didn’t see or hear them at all. There are games and painting supplies, flashlights, trail maps, a fake fireplace. The cabin is adorable and so is the bathroom. And as others have said, Peggy and Allen are so nice. They gave such a nice tour of the property and the horses, rabbits, chickens (the same chickens that laid the eggs I bought from them!). I also loved getting Peggy’s muffins and bread. It’s also conveniently located next to the George Washington national forest trails. I think I’ll be back again.

We had the best time at The Tiny Rose! Everything was clean and you can tell that great care goes into this little cottage. Our 4 and 6 year olds didn’t want to leave.
Peggy and Allen were great and gave us a farm tour where we met all of their animals. You can tell that they genuinely love having people stay on their property. We highly recommend staying here!

I hate to write sich a glowing review of this place because i am afraid it will be hard to book 8n the future. This place was so quaint and charming. It was quietly ticked away in the woods and had enough ammenities to feel we were camping without all the set up and break down. The outdoor "patio" was a perfect place for dinnet and wine and the house had good lighting, a ceiling fan and all the essential things. We brought a dutch oven to cook our dinner over the fire. The place is not far from George Washinton National forest and we spent the day hiking and taking in the views. The property also has a walking loop and we did that the following day. A small pond, horses, fruit trees, chicken coops (make sure to ask why there are 2!) and lovely trees. I bet this is gorgeous during fall foliage! We did order rggs, a chicken, rolls and muffins and fire wood. Everything was fresh and delicious. With all that said, i think the best part were our hosts, Peggy and Allen. Such down to earth, kind helpful people. They responded immediately when i booked and answered all my questions almost immediately as we neared our reserved weekend. They were flexible with our arrival time and met us to help take our stuff to the cabin in their 4 wheeler as well as offered to help load our car when we were leaving. They walked and talked with us, introduced us to their horses and chicken and made us feel they had all tge time in the world for us. They treated us like family. We even left with several pounds of beets from their amazing garden! I rarely write reviews but felt compelled to do so for this place and these hosts. Please be sure to check out their campsites as well.

Allen and Peggy were amazing hosts! They went above and beyond what I had expected, fr om letting us shelter in their garbage as a thunderstorms passed to texting to make sure we didn't need anything mid-stay.
The cottage was just what we were looking for, a combination of cozy and quaint with a touch of "roughing it". The Tiny Rose Cottage is set up with cooking essentials, multiple ways to cook your food, some games, coloring books and paint to paint a rock. We loved cooking over the fire and eating outside while listening to a distant thunderstorm and owls hooting. It was perfect! You can tell they put love into this place.
Do yourself a favor and get some of Ms. Peggy's baked goods. We had the blueberry muffins, yeast rolls and ooey-gooey sticky buns and they were both delicious! They were all backed the day we arrived and she definitely puts the love in them.
There are also plenty of hikes in the area being in between two national parks. We had to drive a bit (since we decided to explore Shanandoah National Park), but the drive is beautiful and well worth it. There is plenty of nature to explore and a cool covered bridge close by.
We definitely plan on staying again!

We had a lovely visit at Rendezvous Farms! Peggy and Alan have added some great amenities since last season, including a cedar bathroom with composting toilet. The path to the Rose Cottage is a bit rough but Peggy and Alan provide a 1-2 minute wagon service right up to the door to drop off your things. They are hosts that are involved with you as much as you prefer. We added on the homemade blueberry muffins and rolls to our booking, which were amazing and a relished treat while hiking and visiting the caverns. There is so much to do in the area and nothing’s can top coffee on the the covered porch in the morning with the forest as far as you can see. When leaving, we were given the opportunity to meet Tootsie and Sparky the farm horses....so friendly! Thank you Peggy and Alan!
