We will be back
We brought our 25 ft trailer to Hawthorn Hollar on Sept 4. We found campsite 2 to be a beautiful part sun part shade area about 3 or 4 acres. It was shielded from the other campsite by a thick stand of trees and it was lovely.
The hosts were friendly and helpful with out being obtrusive.
There are miles of well groomed shady trails to hike
or 4- wheel, or possibly bike. There was a fire ready to go and a sweet are with a table topped with a solar light. The stars are amazing from this location. We really loved that.
We really enjoyed our stay there and will return soon.
Perfect camping spot—will be back!
Julie and Moon were amazing hosts. They couldn’t have provided clearer instructions or a friendlier welcome. We absolutely loved setting up our tents at their site. We had so much privacy, a beautiful stretch of land for my dog to run, a fire pit for dinner, and 8 miles of trails for a morning walk. We checked out 3 of the wineries nearby and can’t wait for our next stay to keep exploring the area!
Loved it! lots of room.
I love this place. It was very peaceful. Plenty of room to spread out. I was on a very tight schedule so I didn’t have much time to explore. There are nice trails and I liked the walking around the cottage. I wish I had more time. What I like about it the most is the huge amount of room and the serene location. Great communication with the host and very helpful. I will book this again!! Thank you.
Better than the description!
The pictures in this ad did not do the property justice. It looks good in the pictures, but it is much better in person. Definitely a hidden gem that is much nicer than the ad seems.
We had a great time! Beautiful area. Very private. We did have a few dirt bikers come by late at night, but being the holiday, I would think probably was a rare event. Site two was great, and we loved the two perfect hammock trees. Our dogs loved running around, and the pond was super cool with a nice floating platform. We would have loved to stay two nights so that we could have tried out the canoe, and checked out all of the trails on the property. The cool old building was neat to see as well. 100% recommended.
We stayed in Site #2 and it was very picturesque. You can set up your camp in any part of the wide open field, moving the fire pit and table around if needed. Trails are fun and the old home is a great place for pictures. Met the hosts and they were very nice and cared about our experience. Grass was a little high due to recent rains, but manageable. Plenty of space to find the perfect place to set up camp!
A great night under the stars!
We had a terrific time In this remote but convenient campsite. Great view of sunset and the stars were spectacular over the Meadow that we were Campton. The hosts provided clear direction to tyhe location and we enjoyed learning the history of the farm. This was an impromptu birthday camping outing and it was everything we could have asked for. We will go back and spend time to hike and see the gnomes.
I absolutely loved my stay. The hosts went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. The property is beautiful and quiet. I enjoyed breathtaking views in the mornings and afternoons and really enjoyed winding down and unplugging. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. It was really like a vacation.
