Just as I imagined! My husband and I enjoyed our 2 nights of glamping at this tiny cozy house. We grilled food outside, hiked in the forest and around the farm, and enjoyed relaxing in the porch. Just admiring nature around you is a peaceful and quiet experience. We love that we can shower and have a clean toilet available. We had the whole farm to ourselves. One of the best 2 days that we needed to de-stress from the outside world. Marvin is the best host, very hospitable and informative. He made sure we are comfortable in our tiny retreat cabin and we were. Looking forward to bringing the rest of the family next time. God bless you Marvin and thank you Thornton Farm for welcoming us.

My friends and I hadn’t seen one another in over a year (thanks, COVID) and Thornton Farm was the perfect place for us to reconnect. The experience met and exceeded my expectations. From the well-maintained, wide-open grounds, the craftsman-built tiny house equipped with all the comforts of home and the bathroom/shower facilities to the firepit and common game area, everything was perfect. To top it off, Mr. Marvin was the consummate host, always ready and available to help. My friends and I spent the weekend laughing, talking, sleeping and sometimes just sitting in silence by the fire (that Mr. Marvin started and kept lit for us each time) enjoying the serenity, scenery and SOLITUDE. I will be back!

I stayed in Marvin's cabin on Thornton Farm in late August 2021. Marvin was a great host and welcomed us on arrival and built a fantastic fire for us in the fire pit so that me and my three year old daughter could roast both corn and s'mores. His farm is spacious and there is cornhole and horseshoes in addition to being able to just sit on the porch and relax. We had a great time and will absolutely be back again (possibly to try one of his private camping spots back in the woods on his farm). Thanks Marvin!

We had a wonderful weekend at Marvin's cabin. He is an excellent host and the cabin was perfect! There is a nice fire pit that we used and a covered porch on the cabin that is perfect for shade or a little rain. The inside of the cabin has a comfortable bed and seating for sleep or cooling off in the AC. The best part is the peace and quiet sitting outside on the farm by the fire. We plan to return soon.

It was my first time "glamping" and my whole family is hooked. I was looking for a way to unplug and reconnect with my family, and this experience did just that. Marvin is a wonderful host who has thought of everything. I was pleasantly surprised to see board games, a coffee pot, extra bed linens, and even a wash tub for our dirty dishes. The cabin was a perfect size, clean, and stocked with everything we needed. There was even a little area set up with a horseshoe pit and cornhole boards. The restroom and shower were close and well maintained. The location was beautiful and easy to get to. There is even a blueberry field, about 10 minutes away, that we stopped at. Highly recommend!! Fresh blueberry pancakes cooked on the fire were a big hit. We can't wait to come back and enjoy our slice of solitude.

We absolutely loved our time at Thornton Farm. It is so quiet and peaceful there. Marvin was an amazing host. He left us plenty of wood to get our fire started and checked in on us periodically. The cabin was clean, well stocked and very roomy and air-conditioned. The hot shower and bathroom facilities with a utility sink were an added bonus for our glamping experience. Our 12 year old was especially pleased with the horseshoe pit, cornhole, and acres of land to explore and throw his frisbee. Stayed up late sitting around the camp fire listening to the owls and woke up to all the different birds chirping. Marvin has done such a good job with all of the little details in order to make your stay a memorable one. We cannot wait to return. Thanks again Marvin!

Solitude Cabin at Thornton Farm is a beautiful place to stay. Our family of 4 stayed one night. If you have more than 2 people, bring pillows and blankets. Marvin was happy to share some farm history and build a fire. Attention to detail is excellent! From available USB charging ports, dishes, can opener, yard games, etc. Marvin has you covered.

Marvin was a fantastic host. Our accommodations were ready for our stay, to include fun board games for our 10 year old. Everything was as described. We enjoyed a pleasant evening glamping with a few creature comforts, but not too many to spoil the adventure. We had no interruptions to the serene, nature filled environment. It was a great evening for our needs.

Marvin met us as we arrived, showed us the accommodations, and also the wood-filled fire pit as well as service lighting the fire. Additionally, we forgot to pack sticks for our roasted marshmallows, and he quickly found us some. Finally, he provided superb traffic advice for our continued drive north on check out. He was spot on, and we were able to get to our destination on time.

If you are looking for the five star Hyatt experience, this is not it, nor does it advertise or price to be that. But if you have read all of the details listed for the site and they meet your needs, this is the one to go with. Marvin is a great host, and his property is an amazing gem close to a ton of fun or historical sites.
