Places to see near Kerwin K.’s Land
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
After a false start (we got lost) we got to the Smith Farm around dinner time. Kerwin was super nice, guiding us to the proper spot and answering questions. His lovely daughter came by to show us the facilities and helped us out with some firewood. The farm is really nice, and a great jumping off point for local attractions. The weather was uncooperative, but that didn't bother us. If ya can't camp in the rain, ya can't camp!. Anyway, would absolutely do it again. Thanks Kerwin!
Perfect place - adorable host!
Kerwin was the perfect host. He welcomed us so warmly, showed us around and let us feed and pet little lambs and other animals. The kids also sat on a donkey. We learned so much and had a perfect stay!!! Thank you so much, Kerwin!
Back to nature, quiet and beautiful
Kerwin was great, he met us at the site ( even though we were a little late arriving) and asked if we needed the bathhouse opened ( we didnt). He showed me where the hookups were and then basically left us to park where we wanted. The farm was a beautiful setting, quiet and exactly as advertised. Took a couple walks around the farm on very wide trails. We'll be coming back in the future.
A meadow filled with song birds
The camp site is far enough from the road so what little traffic there is can hardly be heard over the delightful birds that perch in the trees. Both 15 and 30 amp power is at the site as well as a farm pump. There is a large concrete pad for parking --once the lumber for the new event venue is moved. There is no fire ring so we did not build a fire because of the hay straw in meadow. A curious neighbor dog likes to visit.
