Daniel and Cherith Kennedy purchased this 164-acre farm in 2014, and Daniel's parents, Brent Rita Kennedy, purchased the 1800's era farmhouse from Daniel and Cherith a couple years later. Together, we have transformed this farm back into a working farm with hay fields, cattle, donkeys, goats, sheep, chickens and any other critters we buy or rescue. We are currently rehabilitating the 1700's era one room schoolhouse at the front corner of our land as well. This farm is full of memories, hard work, and is absolutely stunning.

Your hosts on-site are Brent and Rita Kennedy, and they are famous for spoiling our guests rotten. They can give you tours of the farm, some in-season eggs and veggies as they have available, and even throw in some goat-petting opportunities. They love having visitors and are sure to make your trip memorable.

We stayed on the farm three nights of our week long spring break and this was our favorite spot of the week! The hosts were amazing and we could tell they were passionate about the farm. The views were incredible and our campsite was just perfect. We also loved hearing the history, seeing the animals, and exploring the caves!

Wow. Absolutely amazing spot. Off the beaten path and on to what I predict will be one of the highest rated sites in Virginia. You turn off the main highway, and then turn into the heart of the Appalachian Mountains. The road is is rival to some state parks I've visited. Daniel's parents were very charming and accommodating. They let set my tent up under an eve because they heard some bad storms approaching. The place is full of history. The original homestead is still there from 1847 and he's buried there somewhere on the property. His wife isn't too far but they couldn't bury together because of a bad winter storm.

Under an eve to protect me from the potential of bad storms.Early morning fog off the river. Camping buddy.Buffalo Ridge Mountains
