The perfect location for an overnight stop to break up our journey from Maryland to the Outer Banks. Easy to find, even in the dark. Endless entertainment for our pup provided by the chickens, goats and pigs..... goats and pigs are in an enclosed area not too far from the camp spot. If you are lucky to be here on a clear night the stars are amazing and we watched many shooting stars. Also sunrise from the long dock is spectacular.

Quiet and beautiful place to stay. You can walk to the dock, see eelgrass, seagulls, crabs, this place is full of life.

We were driving down to the Outerbanks. This was a perfect spot to stop for the night and break up the drive. Some chickens spent the night in the tree next to us! Cozy spot

If you like a really off the beaten path to set up your overnight camp, this is it. Beautiful farm with chickens around. I loved photographing them. Very quiet and simple setting. Absolutely no amenities, but I knew that going in, and was well prepared. One suggestion though…. The tiny no see ums (or whatever they’re called) will do their thing. I had Picardin repellent, which helped. Just be prepared, and have your favorite repellent of choice.

Good spot for overnight. Flat land and plenty of room.
Notably, it is not ‘seaside’. Camp spots are between grass land and woods, and property is adjacent to marsh. Expect lots of mosquitoes and no see’ems.
Close to Cape Charles, a great little town worth a visit.

It should be noted that we are on the “seaside” of The Eastern Shore, as opposed to the “bayside” which refers to the Chesapeake Bay. Our property is situated on the waterfront, however, the campsites are not necessarily “on the water.”

We stayed for the night passing through. There was a wonderful dock where we fished and caught crabs. Sweet pony named Bella. Peaceful spot to rest.
