The site was BEAUTIFUL!!! Perfect shelter (it was raining the first night), lights for deck were awesome, creek was so fun to explore, and convenient location to Blue Ridge and center of town. Totally recommend!
Almost want to keep this place a secret, it’s amazing!!! The scenery could not be more gorgeous if they tried with a perfect spot for our trailer with power. Lots of space! The fire pit area, lit deck, and area by stream are all extremely well kept and perfect for enjoying family, friends, or just quiet solitude. We will be back time and time again!
Private creekside camping.
This is an exceptional Hipcamp location! Private and secure located just minutes off the Blue Ridge Parkway near Meadows of Dan.
The sheltered gravel pad is level and provides easy hookups. From there it is just steps to a firepit and deck overlooking the creek with bubbling water cascading over rocks. The stairs lead down to a little peninsula of land surrounded by creek on three sides with room to camp, have a fire, or play catch with the dog.
Cell phone and TV reception are good.
We only stayed one night but are already planning our return.
Awesome mountain retreat
Really nice spot, covered spot which dwarfed my 241 wildwood camper. Power was solid, good water pressure with well water, and convenient sewer connection. Nice deck with lights, two fire rings. The location was beautiful this time of year. There are several paths kept open by bush hog - plenty of places to walk my dog where I felt safe in taking off her leash. Very pretty creek with a little waterfall. I’d definitely stay again. Only downside is the road is close enough to hear louder cars and especially motorcycles.
Another hipcamp score!!!!
Another treasure!! Private, spacious, deck, good sized stream, 3 different firepits, covered, quiet.
We reserved for 1 night and are now staying 3 nights. We had a delay due to tropical storm Zeta and were unable to make our initial reservation. Luckily it was open and Joe was gracious & understanding.
The dogs are very happy off leash and playing in the stream.
There is very minimal road noise that is buffered by vegetation as well as the river/stream.
Site is level, no leveling blocks needed. Did not even need to put my outdoor carpeting down since it is all crushed stone.
We recommend this spot without reservations.
Can't wait to come back!
Campsite was wonderful, clean, and very spacious. We can tell the host loves his land because of how nicely the campsite was made. The creek was relaxing to wake up to and there was plenty of room to lay out. Definitely will be back! Easily one of our favorite campsites on hipcamp.
