Set on a working grass-based farm, our glamping site offers a 14x16 canvas tent, queen bed, and an outdoor bathroom space including a shower, camp toilet, and a washing sink. We are also providing you a camp stove + propane for it.
Glamp tent will support a family of 4 (one queen bed + two cots).Â
***You will need to bring your own sleeping bags, blankets, pillows, etc. for the cots.***
Campsite grounds include a fire pit, hammock, and dog lead. Landscape lighting is scattered about the camp area for better lighting at night. Walking trails with bench seating surround the site.
House broken, well behaved & well kept dogs are welcome to the farm. We ask that they be up to date on rabies shots and flea/tick treatments. Absolutely no pets are allowed on furniture. A dog bed and water/food bowls are provided inside the glamping tent. All dogs must be on a leash and should not be left unattended at the campsite nor left behind for the day. Muddy pups are not allowed in the tent. A dog lead is provided at the campsite for your convenience. We also do not allow aggressive breeds of dogs on property (pit bulls, etc.)
Our campsite offers complete privacy in the woodlands of our farm. We won't be in your hair beyond a quick meet & greet to point you in the direction of the site.Â
SOME ADD-ONS AVAILABLE (add at check-out):
- 2-person tent with air mattress is available for a fee. This will enable you to bring some friends who may not have their own gear. Simply add the tent rental during checkout. **Note - guests using the additional tent will need to bring their own sleeping bags, pillows, blankets.**
- Farm Food! We raise grassfed & pasture based beef, lamb, and pork all of which are available for purchase. Also, seasonal produce + fresh herbs!
THE BACKSTORY:
We are Brooks and Jil Davis. We are 1st generation farmers practicing our skills since 2006. In 2017, we bought a really cool abandoned farm to call our own and started the task of renovating it. The home dates back to the 1850s and we are only the 3rd family to own it!Â
The house once served as the post office (& hotel at times) for the area from 1856 - 1955 and it's also rumored that it once was a boarding school. A railroad ran in front of our home until the early 1900s; that railway is now the current Route 13 (or Old Buckingham Road).
We've completed the first phase of house renovations, built farm infrastructure for our livestock, and are now offering you an opportunity to stay here on the farm. With many more projects to come, we hope that over time our property will become more and more of a haven & fun place to stay for our guests.Â

SAMPLE ITINERARY FOR YOUR ADVENTUROUS STAY:
Day One - Arrive at our farm (check-in is from 4-6:30pm), settle in, get a campfire going, cook up some grub, lounge in the hammock, take a deep breath & let go of whatever has been stressing you during the week. Take a walk on our trails to help burn off some of that stress, too.Â
Day Two - Wake up and cook up some breakfast (bacon & eggs sounds amazing...). Then, head to Cumberland Coffee Co. for a cuppa joe at a very cute shop. Then...
Option 1: Go to Farmville for the day... rent bikes & ride the High Bridge Trail, do a little shopping on Main Street and eat lunch out.Â
Option 2: Go to Bear Creek Lake State Park for a day of swimming, boating, kayaking, fishing, hiking, etc.Â
Come back to base camp here at the farm to cook an awesome dinner. Play games (we've provided a couple) and chat it up using our ice breaker cards! Then, hunker around the campfire. Smores may be a part of that picture. ;)
Day Three - Sleep in a bit and lounge around camp with camp coffee and brekkie until it's time to head back home (check out is at 11 am).

Loved the tent and surrounding woods that we were able to walk our dog in. Amenities were great and Jil left many treats to make us feel welcomed.
We had a wonderful time camping here! The hosts were so lovely and thoughtful, the site very well stocked and private and quiet, and my kids loved walking around the farm, meeting the animals, and exploring the land. Highly recommend!
Jill’s place was great! Super easy to find, we’ll set up and she even has some pasture raised meats available for purchase.
Would definitely recommend!
The glam site at Poplar Hill is absolutely amazing! The site has so many well thought out details to make the stay extremely comfortable. It’s very private, with animals close by that our kids loved seeing. Jil was a very organized and kind host, if you need a weekend away, book now!!
This glamping campsite is unmatched! The tent is spacious and cozy and there are so many cute, thoughtful touches throughout. The property is beautiful and the campsite is private, your closest guests are the sheep and cows in the pasture a short walk down the road! We would absolutely stay here again and have already recommended it to family and friends. A perfect little getaway!
The extra touches at the glamping site make it feel more like a cozy retreat than camping. Jil is quick to respond to any questions and very accommodating. The glamping tent is adorable and pretty warm (I stayed during a very cold weekend, but the tent actually keeps heat in fairly well). There is a charming trail through the woods behind the tent with benches along the way, and Jil's cute farm animals are right up the road. The site is secluded enough that you have privacy but also close to restaurants and attractions. I would definitely love to stay here again and have already suggested it to several camping friends!
Amazing, private campsite 🏕. Fun hiking / walking trails around the farm and woods. Our boys enjoyed seeing the roosters / sheep / cattle and of course the resident dogs. Tons of nice touches at the campsite, from coffee fixings to portable charger for phones etc to card games (had a fun family Uno battle!).
Highly recommend and hope to be back sometime soon!
