Create new family memories camping (really "Glamping") in a brand new renovated Blue Bird School Bus (Skoolie) with wide-open, jaw-dropping mountain views. The Skoolie is outfitted with everything you need... just pack clothes/food and come! Sleeps 2 adults (1 queen) and up to 4 kids (Bunk beds, pull out futon). Full electric, hot water, kitchen and bathroom. Huge sink, stove, oven, microwave, Keurig. Wide-open mountain views, picnic table, and acres for outdoor enjoyment.
Enter the bus through the double swinging doors and up the stairs. There you are greeted with 38 feet of awesomeness. A kitchen with huge sink and butcher block countertops. Enough cabinets to store everything securely out of site. A large futon and coffee table grace the other side of the bus. Pull out this futon for the bigger kids when it's time for bed.
Past the kitchen and family room you find a set of bunk beds with night lights for bedtime stories. In the middle of the bus you'll find a full bathroom with a composting toilet, shower, and single vanity sink with mirror. There's also a utility closet with a water heater to make sure those showers are nice and warm year round and all the cleaning supplies are bundled up out of site.
At the back of the bus is the master bedroom with a Queen size bed and memory foam mattress. There are also enough cubbies/cabinets in there to keep everyone's clothes out of the way, maximizing living space for everyone in the bus. The master bedroom has curtains on all windows for privacy.
Outside the bus is a picnic table and lounging area with firepit. The views are so good you will spend most of your time outside.
A second Skoolie is ~50 feet away. A decent size shed in between the buses serves as a shared kids playhouse with a TV/DVD Player, Game Console with hundreds of old school video games, corn hole, art supplies, and board games. Owner's house is a few hundred yards away on an adjacent parcel.
*** NOTE: There are two Skoolies which share this lot. The buses are ~50 feet apart. They are generally rented together, but are occasionally rented separately (typically for last minute reservations). Dates showing as available on this listing have a high likelihood of having another small group camping next door.

Not quite up to scratch
Kyle is really great, and the site is really beautiful and in a fantastic location but I just can’t recommend the blue skoolie. It is essentially an oven all day long on hot days so it’s unusable indoors, but then the awning is very unstable and blows off a lot so when outdoors becomes hot there’s no where to escape to. Additionally there are no curtains anywhere but the main bedroom, this makes the bunk beds less comfortable for sleeping and I’m sure if there were blinds on all the windows that would help with the heat issue. On top of this there was a 4 burner stove but only one pan, Kyle did kindly fetch one for us from his nearby AirBnB but this plus a couple of other lacking items just made it feel a bit under thought. Lastly, when we woke up there were a lot of mice droppings in the cupboard and they had chewed through my unopened chips. I appreciate it’s the outdoors but it was just a little unpleasant for the price. The second skoolie, the green one, seemed to have a very robust AC system and was newer, so I’m confident you could stay there and have a lovely time given Kyle’s winning hospitality.
Glamping: family style
Not only was the Skoolie spectacular and exactly as described, the view and amenities couldn’t be beat. We were supplied with enough propane and gasoline (for the generator) for our entire extended stay. And the intentional details (welcome snacks, card and board games, corn hole, flashlights, camping chairs, outdoor rug and more!) kept us comfortable - glamping style! My boys never once asked to leave and we’re more than content just existing with nature and spending quality time together. And our dogs loved the wide open space where they could roam. Kyle was a very attentive and responsive host, going out of his way to get ahead of questions and make our stay memorable. The second we drove off, our boys asked when we’d be back… and we WILL be back!!
Our family loved staying in a bus, what a neat experience! The bus is well outfitted with cute and useful items. We loved having a fire each night around the campfire and the sunset from here was beautiful! Kyle was very responsive to any issue that came up while we were there.
The perfect getaway!
We absolutely loved this converted school bus. The skoolie was beautiful! It sits in a field at the top of a hill overlooking the distant hills and is perfect for watching the sun set. Outside, ot comes well equipped with a Solo Stove fire pit, a beautiful live wood picnic table, a propane grill, and several chairs. Inside is everything you need. From the refrigerator to the full size stove and oven, this skoolie has all the creature comforts of home. We can’t wait to go back!
Great family getaway w/ young kids!
Our family had the best time at Kyle’s land and Skoolie. Our three kids are 6,4 and 2 and our family of 5 all slept comfortably in the beds provided. The mini split kept us warm on a cold January night.
Kyle gave thorough directions to ensure we got to the site easily and could set up camp without issues and just relax and enjoy the absolutely stunning sunset.
We can’t recommend this experience enough to our friends and family and our advice to you is to book now and like Kyle advised, make sure you get there to enjoy the sunset!
Thanks Kyle and Krystal! You truly thought of everything and we’d love to come back in the spring!
Glamping in the skoolie
Our night of Glamping in the Skoolie was just what we needed. We usually just tent camp to disconnect, but Kyle has provided a way to disconnect and have all the comforts you want at the same time. The view from the bus is incredible and the interior is relaxing and well thought out. Sitting out under the stars on those comfy chairs with the fire crackling and a beer in hand really connects you back to nature - but being able to make cookies and get in bed once it got colder was a luxury. We loved our time on Kyle's land and would definitely come back!
Beautiful and quiet “glamping”
This property pretty quiet and only one house in sight it was perfect to see all the stars and watch the sunset over the mountains. Kyle was super responsive and didn’t have any issues that needed resolving. This is perfect if you’re familiar with camping or even if you’re new wanting to try an easy test run to see if it’s your style. Bus was really cute inside and modern, bed was very comfortable, fire could burn for hours. We had an amazing stay and hope to make it back with our dogs again soon 😊
