Perfect weekend camping trip
This was the perfect campsite for a weekend getaway with my boys. The site was great—very private, right on the creek, safe—and the host was very accommodating. He met us when we arrived, gave us the lay of the land, and even drove our gear back to our site (a short 5 min walk). This was our first HipCamp experience...and we loved it. Highly recommend this site to anyone wanting a private, water side getaway.
Awesome campsite. Went there with 8 people with mixed camping experience. David was above and beyond hospitable. Gave us a lay of the land, wrote up a sheet with local attractions etc. The site was private, right on the creek and had tons of space. We explored the area, swam in the creek, had a great fire and can't wait to go back. Highly recommend. We stayed at Site 1 and were the first to do so.
Wonderful weekend of camping!
We had a great time camping on Dave's land. He was welcoming and helpful. The site was private, well laid out, and the creek was perfect for our kids to play and swim in. We can't wait to go back!
Perfect secluded campsite
We loved staying at Cedar Creek! The site was gorgeous and secluded, perfect for a weekend getaway. We stayed at Site 2 (Three Pines Campsite) and were very pleased with the space. Plenty of shade, but enough room to spread out, plus easy creek access. We were able to find flat, dry ground to pitch 3 tents for our group of 8. The firepit is well built and has a grate for cooking as well. The campsite is great for kids. Our 3 year old loved wading in the creek and hiking along the truck path. Everything, including the port-a-potty, was clean and well maintained.
A couple things that weren't clear from the listing: parking, trash, and the latrine/shower are about a 5 min walk from both campsites. David was extremely helpful and used his truck to bring our gear to the site (he didn't recommend driving in because the path is extremely rough). I'd recommend using bins or bags to condense your gear as much as possible to make load-in easier, and consider air-tight food storage so you don't have to bring it all back to your car at night.
We'll be back for sure!
Beautiful campsite with lots of space for our large group. We really enjoyed the creek and the beautiful trees surrounding the campsite. David was quick to respond to any questions I had and helped us move all of our belongings from parking to campsite. The walk was very short so going to the car was easy! Definitely recommend if you are looking a private camping experience!
Beautiful private creek side camp .
Very beautiful and private spot on Cedar Creek. Host was very helpful including using his farm truck to help move our camping gear over the last 300 yards or so from parking area to the camp site. Highly recommended.
