The vineyard is enchanting. The hosts are sweet. If you are looking for a spot to park and just branch out from that location to do some hiking or some nearby sightseeing it's superb. Be a little cautious about spending time at the winery on the property unless you look like someone who lives in the area. It seemed like the people who frequent the location are likely regulars or nearby residents. They arent entirely friendly towards people whose appearance might be distinctly different than their own. As a dark skinned solo female traveler with tattoos I appeared to get quite a few side glances. Despite the aloofness I very much enjoyed myself so this is more a heads up than a true complaint. The excellent wine and charming live bluegrass music more than made up for the very minor ripples or discontent experienced. In fact I would 100% recommend this spot and would absolutely return in the future if I were in the vicinity.
Quiet and beautiful
Absolutely lovely stay, beautiful views, great wine available for purchase, I was there mid week so it was very quiet but the hosts were available if needed and absolutely delightful.
You owe it to yourself to visit
Scenery speaks for itself, simply stunning. Hosts were very hospitable, and we enjoyed getting to know them both. Enjoyed our time while sipping wine and listening to live music, too. Would definitely return.
Goregous farmland camping!
I am SO glad that I chose to stay with Christine at her goregous brewery/vineyard/winery as my first Hipcamp stay! Christine was incredibly helpful and flexible, the property was so goregous, and the drinks (both wine and beer!) were absolutely amazing. I brought my older dog with me and he had a great time romping around and enjoying the company in the afternoons when we'd make our way over to the building for drinks. Everyone was so lovely and it made for a great weekend in the Blue Ridge Mountain area. Also, the well that Christine pointed out was DELICIOUS and definitely was my preferred water bottle refill station.
Excellent view and venue
Hosts were very nice! The view is amazing! We stayed for three days at site 2 and enjoyed large space. Dog friendly winery made it very fun for our pups. They got to run all around the place till they were exhausted.
Terrific location and people
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Blue Quartz winery. Christine was very accommodative and the location is terrific. Enjoyed one of their home brewed beers and a bottle of Chardonnay and a warm salted pretzel.
Will definitely stay there again
