Located minutes from I81. Park at the house and hike 200 feet down the hill to the secluded River Cabin overlooking the North Fork of the Shenandoah River. You'll have river access for fishing, swimming and paddling (kayaks and canoes provided), or you can just sit on the dock and watch the sunset. Retreat back into the screened cabin for a quiet restful evening or relax on the deck by a fire. We are a Glamping site... like a hotel stay in the woods. Close by are 100's of miles of hiking trails and the charming town of Woodstock offering free concerts, some of Virginia's finest wineries, the Brewhouse and other great local restaurants... come explore and adore. There is also an auxiliary deck in the trees for pitching your own tent or sleeping under the stars for additional campers. During cooler months, we have enclosed the sleeping/changing areas and provide a small heater for your warmth and comfort. Meeting you is important to us, but we do it from a distance. Be safe!

This cabin is so beautiful, and has just the amenities you need to be comfortable (fire ring, vault toilet, lofted sleeping area). There are many great hikes close by, and we had a wonderful time relaxing around the fire after long days of hiking. The host, Steve, was very welcoming and informative.

Absolutely great location, host, and cabin. We spent the whole day on the water, canoeing upriver. Had a blast.

This place is an absolute dream. It’s cozy and private. No electricity let’s you favor the sunsets/sunrise and bonfire. Very close to hiking, trails, and even grocery stores. Definitely pack good sleeping bags if you’re staying this late in the season!

Cabin on the Seven Bends was an amazing, relaxing, and beautiful place to stay. Steve was such a friendly and gracious host, providing us with an air mattress (allowing us to sleep 4 all together in the lofted bed area) and giving us recommendations for hikes and sightseeing in the area. With the kayaks he provided and the beautiful surroundings though there’s no reason you couldn’t spend at least a full weekend enjoying his amazing property and cabin! The cabin is very secluded and quiet at night, but also only a 5 minute drive to town for food/supplies. We will be visiting again ASAP

Inside the cabin was comfortable—hammocks were provided and we found the simple loft mattress to be quite comfortable. We had a very nice time taking the kayaks out on the water, and spent the afternoon enjoying the water view while reading. We took advantage of the firewood provided as well. Steve was nice & brought down some hot chocolate chip cookies for us to enjoy. We spotted deer, bald eagles, a kingfisher and red tailed hawks. It feels very private and isolated down at the cabin which we enjoyed.

Everything was exactly as described. The setting was private and beautiful. We didn’t get a chance to use the kayaks but that’s a nice perk. The cabin was rustic but had some nice extras such as games, books & strategically place battery powered lights.

So peaceful! Perfect simple set up- it was a chilly night but the loft retained more heat than I’d imagined. Steve was a great host- hope to return !
