Blackwater Bungalow/farm is a charming, little slice of heaven. My daughter and I brought her dad here for Father's Day weekend and we had the best weekend ever! Endless fishing, swimming, kayaking, hammocking, farm animals and sitting around the fire. Absolutely beautiful grounds. This place is special.

The Hosts really thought of everything. The outdoor kitchen was stocked well with pretty much everything we needed for cooking.

They even have the cutest little self serve shop on the farm selling basic camp/fishing items and misc other supplies.

We will definitely be coming back.

We had a great time at the Bungalow! The fishing was awesome and the site set up with all the essentials you could need (besides food and clothes)! The family was able to assist with extra fan batteries and a wine tasting on short notice! The darm store was open 24/7 and stocked with cute swag, wine, and some camper stuff like plates, bug spray, and fishing tackle!

Blackwater Birds & Bees Farm was the most wonderful glamping getaway. The cabin was adorable. My five-year-old loved the loft upstairs. It comes with a mattress, so you just need sheets or a sleeping bag and pillow for that. The full-sized bed on the main level is fully equipped with linens and extra pillows. My son learned how to cast a line for the first time, which was so special! We fished, kayaked, fed the goats, and took in all of the beautiful nature James’ property has to offer. Our battery died, and he came and brought us one at 9pm, so we could have electricity in the cabin. Also, the outhouse is more of a luxury bathroom. Very clean!! The hospitality was incredible. We will definitely be back!

Our family had a wonderful time at The Blackwater Bungalow! There was so much space inside the bungalow and it was perfect for the four of us and our goldendoodle. Our two sons loved playing and sleeping in the loft area and I loved that it had wooden rails for safety, specially since my 6yr old can be a little crazy when he plays so it gave me a piece of mind. We had brought a sleeping pad for them but we didn’t even use it because they had a small mattress for them to sleep on that we didn’t know would be there; way better than our sleeping pad so we chose for them to sleep on that. We also brought a canopy for shade but again, we didn’t use it since the trees surrounding the area gave us plenty of shade. The four of us enjoyed canoeing and fishing every day, I’m pretty sure our boys now have core memories of them catching their very first bass all on their own..the smile on their faces was priceless. They also enjoyed swimming and playing in the water with our dog most of the day as well as eating s’mores by the beautiful stone fire pit and star gazing at night. The outhouse is not far from camp at all but it does get pretty dark at night so we lit a path from camp to the outhouse with small solar lights which was perfect. The little outdoor kitchen was beautiful and well equipped with essentials for camping and cooking which we were grateful for because I forgot to bring seasoning and we found some there. We truly can’t wait to be back soon, thank you James & family!

We couldn’t get enough of the view!Memorial Day decorations we added.First catch, super happy :)Some solar lights we added to our camp.

Had a wonderful time at Blackwater Bungalow. James and his family were incredibly responsive and kind leading up to and throughout our stay. Check-in was incredibly easy, as we were welcomed at the property entrance and guided to our campsite. The bungalow was adorable, and equip with charm and the little odds and ends one might forget to pack(an extra lantern, lighter, deck of cards, or can opener, etc). There is also a little store in the center of the property with bug spray, fishing lores, cute little treasures! During our stay we were able unwind but never encountered a dull moment as the property had plenty of little corners to explore and wildlife/animals to watch- not to mention the stars at night. Will defiantly be visiting Blackwater Bungalow again soon.

I've never really done the glamping thing before and this exceeded all our expectations. It was beautifully private, the owners checked in occasionally to see if we needed anything, we caught tons of fish, and altogether just had a great weekend. The site has chairs and a really nice fire pit, and the farm fresh eggs were amazing. Would go again in a heartbeat!
