Billy and his dad, Pete, were phenomenal hosts! They greeted us and helped us get situated. We only stayed a night as we were working our way up towards Maine and the spot was extremely convenient close to the Highway. As we settled down for the evening, you couldn't help but notice the amazing view of the stars this campsite offered. Finally, as we prepared to head out for the morning, Billy greeted us with fresh made coffee. We will be back if we are in the area!

Billy was an excellent host. He greeted, helped us park our rPod into our space, plug in and made sure we had everything we needed. We were able to fill our fresh water tank for our visit and then could use the dumping station at the campground if needed on the way back to the interstate.
He had firewood ready to go in our pit and even brought out his guitar to sing in the evening. (His other side gig apparently is weddings, bars and retirement homes). The grounds were neat and the vibe was peaceful and relaxing. Will definitely stay here again when in the area.

Historical farmhouse where Billy lives on the other side of the property. We were parked on Site 1 of 3.

Billy’s Little farm is the perfect Hipcamp. It is super close and convenient to I-64, his Hipcamp is level, has 30 and 20 amp power, accessible well water, garbage cans for garbage disposal and he is a super responsive host. He does not have sewer or water hook ups but he has just about everything else. The fire ring and tiki torches are a really nice touch and If you forget something, Billy can help you out by lending you chairs, tables or whatever camping implements you might have forgotten. Billy answered our text messages really quickly so if you have any questions, he is readily available. Billy may soon build an out house but even without one, this Hipcamp is a perfect stop. If you find yourself near Charlottesville or Richmond, Billy’s Hipcamp is your very best bet.

Billy is a very kind and welcoming host, hoping to make your visit to his large, “well manicured” field as enjoyable as possible. He met us and helped with parking, plugged in the electricity, made a fire in the central fire pit and invited us to join him as he played guitar and sang (very well). He is well read and offers good conversation. Billy is working hard trying to make his place a destination to return to. With all of the fun amenities he is working toward, this is a worthy stop.

Billy was super welcoming and good at communicating and social distancing. Even with our last minute request, Billy helped us hook up to power when we arrived, and even built a fire for us when our heater wasn't working. A great place to stretch out and see the stars. We'll come back again.
