Places to see near Beth & Ian F.’s Land
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
There is nothing remarkable about Boondock Pines, however, I enjoyed the time I spent there. Having said that, I got to see more stars than I have seen in years! Since I camped after the weather had cooled, the mosquitoes were almost nil. Ian was very helpful when I arrived after dark the first night and had to talk me into the campsite. Finally, I have to say that the port-a-potty is a hike from the site which Ian apologized for.
Woods, private, beautiful, stars
Beth was super nice. The mosquitoes were bad, Beth just bought a screened in canopy and let us set it up and use it. The out door shower and little rinse area was a super bonus.. I will be back. Thanks Beth.
Bugs were horrible (The host mentioned this after we arrived). Literal trees covered in spiders, had ticks on me within 30 seconds not to mention the size of other spiders and the amount of mosquitos. I've been camping many times and expect bugs but this was another level. There were fireworks at night (we stayed 1 night instead of 2, July 9th) which we were hoping to get away from as one of our dogs is afraid of them and being outside permanently it made it even worse. Also they're still living in 2020, Trump signs all over town. Hosts were as accomodating as possible as they did provide Off, a citronella candle, and the firewood we paid for. Firewood was wet but it did just rain before we arrived. Overall, wouldn't recommend to the everyday camper.
Wonderful beach woods hideaway
I absolutely loved this place! Their campsite was tucked away in the woods, so private but also close to the road with great close access to the beach and Mathews. They had taken great care to provide a hammock, firepit, quality picnic table. It really felt like a great little private hideaway in the woods.
