Exactly as described, even prettier
Highly, highly recommend staying here! Most important thing to know. The pictures you see in the post really are what the location looks like. You are that close to the beautiful water which has easy access.
Be sure to print out your directions from both a navigation system and the host directions (which are specific to landmarks) as this is truly remote, you will need it and you will lose signal. Enjoy the drive! It's stunning! If you have an RV talk with the host about turning into the driveway/entrance. It's difficult if you have a large rig. There is a field you can cut through instead.
The host are absolutely wonderful. The perfect amount of accommodating. We like seclusion and found the perfect spot. We will be returning!
Quiet and peaceful
My family and I spent a Saturday night on Amber and Mikey’s riverfront land and it was wonderful? Quiet and peaceful with the sounds of the river! We enjoyed the tiki torches and wood that was provided. I took my kids to school on the badminton net and rackets provided.
Amber and Mikey came by and made sure we had all we needed, they were very pleasant.
The river was slightly up but we made good use of the inner tubes and took several dips in the water to cool off. Large fire pit was great to sit by in the evening.
I will be back again in the coming months to enjoy another sunset or two.
Pay attention to the directions and make sure you know the way, cell service will cut off and you will need to be on your toes! Worth the trouble!!!
Thanks Amber and Mikey
Hope to see you soon!!
Perfect blend of sun and shade!
Great spot we’ll come back to many times. The river was still too high to fish but it looks like a great spot. Good news is the Rockfish River is only 10 mins away for a backup fishing spot. The camping spot is all manicured grass with mature trees all over. It provides about 60/40 shade/sun. There are stairs down to the river; maybe 5 steps. One thing to note: if you want to build a little sissy fire, maybe go somewhere else. If you want a big bonfire, this is your spot!! We have played badminton and volleyball. The hammock hanging between two shade trees was amazingly comfortable. Overall, this site is setup with everything you need for a great waterfront camping experience. We will most certainly be back.
