Discover Cotswold Valley, a hidden gem in the Dandenong Ranges. Find your slice of heaven next to our spring-fed pond, nestled in amongst Blackwood trees and just a stone’s throw from the mighty Mountain Ash of Sherbrooke Forest. Stay in and relax in the hammock, make friends with our animals, amaze at the abundant wildlife, or visit our stream amongst the giant tree ferns. Head out locally to explore the magical forest, picnic in the gorgeous Hills gardens, or take a memorable trip to Emerald Lake on the Puffing Billy. After a long day of living life to the full, sit back, dine out under the stars, gaze into the camp fire, listen to the frog chorus and enjoy the comforts of the Van in the Valley.
The van is a cosy and well-equipped space with electric lighting, running drinking water and a fan or heater available depending on the season. It sleeps two and has a comfortable double bed. The basic price is BYO bedding, but bedding can be added as an extra. The van also has a small table and a fully equipped kitchen (including bar fridge, electric stove, microwave, kettle, toaster and basic provisions).
Outdoor facilities include plenty of seating, a shelter (including gas BBQ and picnic table), a camp fire (restricted times), a hammock, a swing and a long drop toilet. A short but steep walk up the hill you can also access the bathroom in our barn as an optional extra (hot shower, towels provided).
Our house is at the top of our 10 acre property, which means you have plenty of privacy (though you may bump into our curious alpaca, Ginger). We have sheep, alpacas, a horse, a rooster and chickens on the property. Local wildlife includes wallabies, deer, wombats, possums, frogs and too many birds to mention.
The van is ideal for a couple, but If you have three or four people in your group the camp has space for your own swags or tent. We can also pitch a tent (including camp mattresses, BYO bedding) to be ready for extra guests on arrival. Please see extras below.
Van in the Valley is a short drive from Melbourne and is also easily accessible by public transport. Take the train to Belgrave station, then hop on the 695 bus for a 10 minute ride to the Glen Park Drive stop - the stop is right beside our driveway. The bus is also handy for trips to Belgrave, Emerald, Cockatoo and Gembrook during your stay.
Please note that due to the proximity to the pond Van in the Valley is NOT suitable for children under 10 years.

Beautiful little spot. Clean and cosy caravan. Super cute animals. Most of all friendly, helpful hosts.
Absolutely loved our stay. The host family were really kind and hospitable, and the location was stunning. The actual caravan has everything you need, and was styled beautifully. Overall a really special place, and we’ll be back again for sure!
The stay was absolutely beautiful. Exceeded my expectations and the hosts were so lovely and accomodating. Unfortunately, we had to leave slightly earlier than planned but again, they were so accommodating. I do really hope to come again soon.
