Nestled right beside the Murrundini River, this campsite is surrounded by tall swamp gums, black wood wattles and tree ferns. This spot (site 2) is at its best from spring through to autumn (can get very damp in winter). Site one is flat open and good all year round. Site one best for caravans, camper-trailers, site two best for tents. Both are right beside the river. There are two swimming holes, with steps for easy access (hand rails on the both of them.)
Enjoy a peaceful riverside camp site. Campfires are permitted, only in provided fire pits (fire wood can be supplied). A grill or hotplate for the fire is also available.
It's a short walk to the onsite toilet facilities (150m). There is potable rain water tank, single toilet block provided, and a picnic table for meals.
This property is close to wineries, scenic reserves, 4WDing, scenic waterfalls, hiking trails and fishing spots. There is abundant native wild life on site and near by (kangaroos, wallabies, echidna, heaps of wombats) and amazing and rare bird life on site.
PLEASE NOTE: Mobil very good reception for Telstra network across entire property, but Optus only from the hill top.
Well behaved pets (dogs) allowed with discussion. Young or exuberant dogs/puppies would recommend site one, as you can close the gate and keep them close, and not have to worry about them wandering too far. PLEASE clean up after your dog. As Only two of the three camp sites are leased at a time, you can enjoy plenty of space and privacy (over 1km of river frontage, 32 acres in total).
No shooting allowed. No trail bikes to be used onsite (respect other campers and neighbors).
The original home stead (built in 1876) burnt down in the 2009 black Saturday fires. There still remains many 150+ year old elms and other European trees near the toilet block, which are delightful in autumn. Mid winter there are hundreds of yellow daffodils & white jonquils. We have some fantastic views from the hill up and down the Murundindi Valley, especially at sunset. We're located only a few short km's from Wilhelmina Falls and Murundindi Scenic Reserve, you get the best part of the river, without the crowds. We are a short drive from Melbourne, and easy access to the townships of Yea and Yarra Glen for supplies if you need them.. Please note site 3 "Craig's flat" will open for bookings mid February. This site will cater for camper vans & small caravans ,trailers, tents/ swags. Please message for details for advance bookings. Early arrivals are available, depending on bookings.

Michael was a great host with an awesome site. We stayed in site 2 with our campervan. Plenty of room to set up camp. It was beautiful to have our own section of the creek and dip our toes in the freezing cold water! The toilet block was excellent, just a short bike ride/walk away.
Had a great weekend at the the fern glade with my dog. Site two was nice and secluded and right by the creek. Michael was very helpful and accomodating. Will come back again 🙂

Michael was an amazing host this is The second time we have stayed and the family have loved it both times. The scenery is amazing, having access to the toilet is great and the sites are well maintained and easily signed. We enjoyed hiking to the top of the hill with our 5yo to have a view of the surrounding valley and when we stayed in summer last time the river is great for little ones to cool off in as it’s only waist high :)
We loved the closeness to the river and to the tracks in the hills for walking and motorbiking.
Campsite had great space and the property was not overcrowded.
Good drinking water and handy to have a flush toilet.
Thanks Michael
beautiful property and lots of space and the creek running through was gorgeous. Loved a campfire in the evening :-)
The three campsites are on the river surrounded by a beautiful property with diverse bird-life. It’s a lovely peaceful spot. Michael is always available and super friendly. We had a terrific few days, lots of lovely sites, walks and places to eat nearby, we’d return.

A lovely campgroup. Quiet and so pretty with the river nearby and so many birds. Not far from Yea and very close to Murrindindi reserve with some lovely walks. The other sites were far enough away that we didn’t see or hear them and the fact there is a toilet and rainwater tank was wonderful.
What a fantastic campsite. Loved how it was secluded from the other campsites with quick and easy access to the river. Beautifully nestled amongst trees and wildlife, if you have a tent and need privacy, this site is a must.
