Absolute gem of a place
What a beautiful and serene place. Big river camp was such a stunner, close to the river with an abundance of wildlife!
Thank you Chris for such a beautiful time away. Instructions were spot on to get there and you were very welcoming! Site was big, clean and well maintained
The kids enjoyed playing under the shady chestnut trees and running around. Waking up to the sight of deer, fishing in the river, jumping in the waterhole. The only downside is that we didn't book for longer!

Rainbow Ridge (Big River Camp)
What a place!!
This is the second time we've stayed at Rainbow Ridge, and it's quickly becoming one of our favourite campsites!! Shade from the walnut and hazelnut trees is great, with enough room for us to get our two campers under them. Right on the river, it is a beautiful, quiet place!
Not far from Mansfield and Goughs Bay, and close enough to some great tracks and places in the Vic. High Country for a day trip.
Chris is an easygoing bloke, a great host and a pleasure to deal with.
Love this place, we'll be back for sure!!

Rainbow Ridge (Big River Camp)
Such a great camp site!
This is such a beautiful camp site right on the banks of the river. The site with a fire pit is set up beneath big, beautiful walnut trees that create shade and some protection from rain. And sleeping so close to the river was so peaceful! I thought it was a weird wind I was hearing before I realised that's the sound flowing water makes over rocks! (Yep, city girl new to camping and the bush here!)
Chris was amazing - he had firewood ready for us when we arrived and helped direct us when we thought we were lost.
As someone still learning about towing I was unsure about a few things. Chris went beyond just answering my concerns even checking and looking things up for me.
This really is such a great place! Not only beautiful and peaceful but we were able to walk down a bit to jump in the river and floatie back to our site. Perfect!
I really can't highlight how impressive this spot is! I highly recommend to try here. Even though I want to keep this a secret for future visits it's such a great spot it needs to be known about. Happy camping!

Chris was a very accommodating and gracious host as always. He took care of us by checking in and providing us with some great stories and a lot of firewood. Amazing spot and well worth the visit.
