Wow. What a great place to stay. Perfectly private sites in the beautiful Yarra Valley wine region. Hosts were great from the time we booked until we drove out their gate. Could not fault anything. Will definitely be back.

Fabulous spot. Arrived to kangaroos and firewood by the campfire. Felt like we had the place to ourselves. There was another campsite being used but it was so far from us that it couldn’t be seen or heard.
Great spot, we will be back

I visited the Kangaroo Campsite on 5th of April 2021 with my friend. We wanted to feel the nature in its raw and pure form, and the place is exactly like that. The place is very calm and amazingly green, with gently sloping meadows. We actually got an upgrade when we reached there, thanks to Melissa and family.
There is a huge open field where you can see heaps of Kangaroo's jumping around (they come in early morning hours, otherwise there you would see lot of cows grazing and minding their own cow stuff).
The camp side also had horses, which have their own separate fields (fenced properly, so we don't go in their space and they don't come in ours). Specifically a brown and another white horse is very friendly. They are super awesome horses (they would let you pet them, but again we should respect their personal space).
The place has a nice fire pit and a huge Woodstock (\m/), so we can just sit warm and cozy. There were a couple of other animals, like Possums. During night one of the Possum tried to steal our chips, I am not sure, but I suspect it was him.
The place is super, would love to visit again

Mel and her daughters went above and beyond to make sure we had a nice stay and that we did! Such beautiful scenery! The campsite was so spacious and even had a walking track which was super cool!

Great little spot close to Melbourne that feels further away from civilisation than it is. I took my 2 primary school aged kids (first camp for one of them) and it felt like we had the place to ourselves. Spoke to the owners and they were great and only too eager to help. With what looks like a recent addition of drinking water only adds to the value of this place.

Was such a great camping trip here. Amazing and friendly hosts and so much space around the campsite. There’s a beautiful trail you can walk with some amazing sights. I went in wet weather and my 2WD was slipping on the dirt when I was trying to leave at the end of my trip but the hosts were more than happy to assist me in getting out with their tractor. If you’re looking for a place to go camping, this is definitely it. Will definitely be returning and recommending to my friends!
