Iron Brook Donkey Farm is located on rolling hills of mountain pasture, backing on to the Yarra State Forest. Bushwalk along the little creek among tall trees and majestic tree ferns, or just sit in a deck chair and take in the exquisite views at the top of the hill. Multiple tracks head through the Yarra State Forest where you can wind your way along dirt roads through to Noojee, Powelltown, or Reefton, each of which have a cosy pub at the end of the drive.
The donkey farm is situated conveniently, halfway between the popular redwood forest, and the giant Ada tree walk. Just chill in your own time, or book an activity or a donkey ride. Donkeys can take riders up to 70kg
We do allow pets, but this MUST be discussed with us prior to booking as we have strict rules around this. We also allow campfires only when fire restrictions aren't in place - which is often all summer.
Children under 3 are free, but for insurance purposes, please mention them in the comments.
This property has an overall capacity to ensure that our number of visitors remain low. This not only ensures that campers recieve the space and peace they look for in a campsite like this, but also so that we can ensure the bathrooms can be kept clean and not overloaded. This is also a part of our COVID safe plan.
Due to this overall capacity it is important that you book for the number of people that you intend to have stay, as while we try to accomodate increases to booking numbers, they are not guaranteed unless booked. If we have met overall capacity then we may not be able to approve increases to booking numbers. This is for the comfort and safety of all our visitors. Thank you

Linda’s property was just the stop we needed. She was kind enough to show us around her land and teach us about the donkeys. Her facilities were squeaky clean. I’d definitely come back. This is why we use hipcamps. Keep up the great work 👍🏼
We loved our little stay on Linda's property. The scenery was absolutely stunning and it was super relaxing. We really enjoyed camping under the Oak tree next to the donkey paddocks and chook pens and Linda was happy show us around her property and let us pat the animals. Highly recommend if your looking for a unique and very relaxing camping experience :)
Magic place that stay. Linda (the host) is fantastic and the place is beautiful. We definitely are planning to come back.
We last minute booked the campsite due to weather and Linda was extremely accommodating and helpful. The campsite was clean and very picturesque. Linda explained the rules and safety thoroughly and was helpful with suggesting activities. The property was beautiful which we were allowed to walk. The toilet/shower facilities were very clean. We camped facing the donkeys and the hills. The scenery was amazing. Linda is very passionate about her donkey farm - it was an awesome place to camp.

I stayed with two small children still potty-training and was really happy with the clean and spacious toilet/ shower room. I wish there were more site listings on Hipcamp with flush toilets like this one:)
I found the wash basin in the toilet was difficult to wash hand as the tap was too close to the basin. But a separate outside wash basin next to the toilets provided hot and cold tap and it’s large enough to use that one to wash dishes. The place I set up camp was on flat surface and no puddles formed although it was constantly raining during my stay. I would definitely come back!
We had the most wonderful time at Linda's Donkey farm! The property is absolutely beautiful, with ample space for multiple camp sites to be set up at a good distance from each other. The toilet and shower facilities are very cute, and extremely well maintained. The best part of staying on this property, of course, was the proximity to the gorgeous donkeys (as well as chickens and goats) which Linda happily told us all about when she caught us petting them. There's also a gorgeous creek to walk down to (bring some gumboots along so you can cross over to the other side!) and the Redwood Forest right nearby. All in all, a fabulous stay and we will definitely be back!
A lovely place with beautiful animals. Cuddling the do lies and waking up to them in front of our tent was amazing! The bathroom facilities were great, access without a 4WD was fine. Thanks Linda! We will definitely be back 😊
