Feel immersed in nature in this place of healing and Australian riverside bush beauty. A gorgeous, unique and natural bush property with river and swimming hole access, overlooking a valley on the Howqua River. Our property is perfect for families or small groups of friends.

Enjoy swimming, tubing, kayaking, hiking, and lots of local 4WDing to amazing views and heritage huts of the high country. See kangaroos, listen to kookaburras and an orchestra of bird-song every day. Visit Mansfield only 20 minutes away for shopping, pubs and supplies.

Horse trail rides are run locally. Eildon boat ramp 20mins away, Mac’s Cove 12 mins, Goughs Bay 22mins, Mt Buller Alpine village 60 mins. Get away from it all but be close to so much!

The spirit of Howqua River Valley Camping is to give you the privacy and exclusivity of enjoying this 9-acre, beautiful, riverside wilderness.  A standard booking is 2 adults with 4 children with the ability to add additional adult guests for $50 per night and $10 per child. The way we accept bookings is by working with our guests to provide the best spot for their group and set up. This is an area of Aboriginal cultural significance, sensitive ecosystems and rich heritage history. We are not a party venue. Please be respectful of the area.

There are open grass camp/caravan spots at 'Grasslands', or you can do a short walk or drive to 'Fairyland' camp, or short walk to 'Birdlands' and 'TiTree Lands'. There is a toilet and picnic table, and campers should be self-sufficient with all supplies including drinking water and toilet paper. Pets welcome.

This camp site was stunning. The view was absolutely amazing. The hosts were fantastic and everything you need is all right there. Despite it being a drop toilet, it was really pleasant

We had a magic weekend exploring the ti trees, the river and the mountains. Marika and Mark set us up with a lovely quiet little spot, some inflatable tubes and the cosiest drop toilet ever. We floated down the river while pup scouted the way, woke up with a fabulous view and went to sleep with the stars.

Site was readily accessible via most types of car. Views down onto the Howqua from camp site 1 were great. Good little walking track to take us down to the river. The toilet was clean and well maintained and marked at night will small solar lights (helpful!)
