Campers will enjoy exploring the nearby Gooram Falls where there are some great swimming holes and viewing areas.

A must see is Mt Wombat and Garden Range Flora and Fauna Reserve, the most well known nature reserve in the Strathbogie Ranges. Most visitors drive to the top of Mt Wombat for a great view over the Tabeland to the east and over the plains to the north and west.

Swimming at Polly McQuinn Swimming Hole is fun for the whole family - once a natural creek and large deep-water pool, the creek has been dammed on the northern side of the road, creating another large waterbody. The dam is a three sided concrete weir.

The property is a short drive to both Euroa and Strathbogie townships.

Approx. 2 hours drive from Melbourne.

Amazing diverse camping spots to suit all types of travellers. Spots were discreet and thoughtfully sited to maintain privacy whilst having awesome hill and bush views.
Allan and Glenys were super hosts and made us feel very welcomed- from greeting us at the front gate to showing us our site and to checking in on our comfort during our stay. Their menagerie of animals was delightful/ I loved the cute piglets!
And we really felt like it was the perfect blend of country and city/ with stable 4G connectivity!

We had a wonderful time camping at Gall's Gap. Allan and Glenys were great hosts. They had kindly set the fire to light, left us plenty of wood (we paid for 2 barrows, well worth it), a tap handy to fetch water from. It was so peaceful! And with friendly farm animals to feed for the kids (and adults allowed too!). I am looking forward to getting back after winter (I'm too soft for winter camping!). Thanks so much Glenals (property name) for having us.
Tips: there's Waghu at Sevens Creek just down the road; take the Merton-Euroa road to access Gall's Gap Road; there's a public dump point in town next to Euroa caravan park.

We had an amazing short stay at Galls gap. A beautiful property up in the hills with the friendliest alpaca you’ll ever meet. We loved the views and animals and Allen and Glennis were so warm and welcoming, even taking time out to give us a tour. Truly one of our most memorable hipcamp stays and we will return for sure!

I booked in quiet late in the day within 30 minutes of arriving. Alan answered my questions promptly and also met me at the gate on arrival with wife Gwen and son James.

I drive a 16ton rig which is not the easiest beast to get around in. The road in is fine until about 1klm before the property where it reaches an 8% incline, The entrance into the property descends sharply, however Alan and his lovely family helped with the gate and when I was leaving, they are an absolute delightful family.

I loved my stay under a beautiful starry night and stunning sunset. The block is slopping but not uncomfortable, the peace is breathtaking.

I would definately stay again.

Only one other camp site at Allan's, and they are set pretty far away, so it almost feels like you have the whole place to yourself. Watching the menagerie of animals was a delight and Glenice and Allan are extremely kind and friendly hosts.

Allan’s place has an amazing view! We had a great time camping. The hosts were very welcoming and we loved getting to meet the beautiful maremma sheepdogs.

We swam at Gooram Falls and another local swimming spot, recommended by Allan.

We hope to visit again soon!

I had a lovely stay at the beautiful Galls Gap camp. Allan and Glenys were so hospitable, meeting me at the gate, showing me around and making sure I had everything I needed. They went above and beyond in that regard. I enjoyed glorious sunsets and magnificent starry nights. I also loved swinging in my hammock looking up at the trees and even an eagle floating on the breeze. There is heaps to do in the local area - a perfect base to explore.
