This area was once the old mill site for the property. Tucked away from the other sites with its sister site #1. It is close to our spring fed dam, where you can go yabbying or just relax and enjoy the afternoon shade of the gorgeous gums.

We had an amazing time at Ellimatta. The place is so serene with beautiful views and lots of open spaces to explore. The camp sites well spaced and the toilets are clean and well maintained. Lisa and Darren have been very helpful and accommodating hosts, all our questions have been answered in a timely manner and Darren have shared valuable information that made our stay even better. Thank you Lisa and Darren. We will definitely be back!
Large site, away from others, with a lovely view and firepit with more than enough wood. Nice to have access to a clean toilet. Helpful, friendly host and great directions. Will revisit! Thanks
We were not disappointed by this camp site, two families shared the one site with large camper trailers and there was plenty of space. Even fully booked, it was quiet and respectful. Our nearest neighbour was just over the ridge about 50m away but because they were over the hill and out of site, you wouldn't have known they were there.
The kids had a blast running up and down the little gully next to the site and having a campfire available with quite literally, unlimited wood, certainly kept us warm with the start of the autumn chill coming in at night.
Kookaburras were cheeky in the morning light and if you are lucky you may see some scarlet robins.
The local animals (Highland cows) may come and say hello from the neighbouring fence, which was a delight for the children.
Toilets are functional portapotties which you share between sites. They are cleaned twice daily by the owner and water replaced.
Great base to see what the high country can offer, between King Valley, Beechworth, Milawa, Glen Rowan... Your options of adventure are endless.

Lovely site, very peaceful.
A great open space, it was nicely spaced from other sites. It was nice to not worry about the kids with cars going past. Was a shame it was so so hot as there wasn't much shade at this site. But it was a great base for visiting wineries, the brewery- was amazing, and local swimming spots!
We did feel safe, and comfortable with Darren coming past each day.
Unfortunately we didn't get to stay at the site because of torrential rain, so I'm not able to review the site. I have to say that communication with Lisa was difficult. I emailed but didn't receive a reply and texted 3 times, got one reply but ignored the second 2 times and never got an answer to my question.
This is a great site for quiet self-sufficient camping.
Best features are clean and regularly serviced toilets (Porta Pottis), a fire-restriction compliant fire pit, free firewood, a supply of fire-extinguishing water, and lovely moving scenery just over the fence.
Darren had good local knowledge and recommendations for places to go, and was willing to yarn for a while.
Sites are well spaced out and campers are unlikely to intrude on each other.
It was hot when we visited but when storms were expected Darren came and spoke to each group of campers about the possible hazards.

Amazing site and location as always. We come back each year and never want to leave. Amazing and large spaces with the most beautiful outlook. Thanks as always. See you guys soon!
