The property is a working cattle grazing farm with large grassy sites available. There is plenty of wildlife watching available so be sure to keep an eye out for koalas, echidnas, wedge tail eagles, owls, wallabies and wombats. There is also plenty of bushwalking available in the nearby flora and fauna reserve. We are also close to rail trail which is popular for bike riding and walking. Relax under the shady gums and enjoy the sounds of natures, pan for gold in the creek or prospect around old Gobur town. Yarck country market is on the 3rd Saturday of every month. General store and giddy goat cafe in Yarck. Bucks bakery in Yarck serve superb pies and sweet treats. Yarck pub nearby has great meals, pet friendly beergarden, ice and takeaways Yarck produce store is open 7 days, stocking steaks, sausages, salami, vegetables, bread and milk. Campfires are permitted only in a metal fire pit, supplied when firewood bundle is purchased or bring your own but any council restrictions must be observed by campers. Bucket of water must be on hand and adult supervision required at all times whenever a fire is lit. Water from creek for washing is on tap and rainwater for drinking is available for campers. Pets are allowed but must be on a leash and kept under the owners control at all times. Campers are welcome to set up on the grassy camp area or if they prefer privacy may set up away from others. Let the host know your wishes. Vehcles must not be driven randomly across paddocks, please follow tracks as guided by host. Party equipment, DJ decks and lighting is only made available to those who book all campsites. Godfreys Creek
Nice shady spot
Nice spot with portaloos, creek (non-potable) water on tap, benches and firepits. Rain (unfiltered) water available for drinking, if you're so inclined. Dave is a good host and checks in periodically, responsive to requests, and helped out with cooking equipment during a fire ban. Pros: - Good shade throughout the day. - Nice flat, soft, grassy ground. - (At least while we were there) significantly cooler ambient temperatures than elsewhere. - Necessities provided and accessible. Neutral: - Firewood bundle not overly impressive compared to another I've seen on hipcamp - BYO could be better value? - Dam and creek are present as mentioned, but are not fantastic for a dip. Creek is beyond a fence and takes a little effort to access; may be better after more rainfall? Dam is rather.. sedimenty. However nearby Gooram Falls as recommended by Dave is excellent. - Late risers beware the legion of loud birds that occupy the trees above the site. Loudest (most impressive?) morning cacophony I've ever heard, but I was trying to sleep in :( Cons: - Not a cramped site, but the sites aren't isolated from one another as I have seen elsewhere. You may have neighbours to consider.

Self Sufficient Caravan Camping
Labour Day Weekend in Gobur at Abaminga was perfect. We had 2 caravans in our group and we had plenty of room. Nice flat camping area, with trees for shade. We had 3 beautiful clear starry nights and the weather was perfect. Our Host David, was fantastic, there was great direction to property and communications. David was friendly and willing to help with anything he could. Would highly recommend this Hipcamp 👌

Godfreys Creek
This was our first HipCamp experience and it was very enjoyable. David our host provided clear directions and communication before the trip and was very obliging and super helpful during our stay. The large camping areas were very pleasant (versus a fixed area in camping grounds or parks) and portaloos and on site BBQ’s are very handy (quite indulgent for the seasoned hardcore camper). We didn’t expect to encounter a total fire ban on a March long weekend, but David went out of his way to ensure we still had the necessities. Got some great tips for places to visit for swimming, as the dam was pretty low at the end of summer. The nearby bakery and hotel in Yarck were also a must to visit. Will definitely use HipCamp again for future camping trips.
