Easily accessible from a dirt road, your shaded site overlooks an acre pond. You are surrounded by lawns, open fields and hills with a small barn across the road from you. The pastures support horses, cattle, sheep and chickens in your neighborhood. The ponds are both great for fishing, and the large one for swimming and canoeing as well. There are trails through the woods and logging roads to be explored on foot or bike. A walk up to the top of the hill affords near-360-degree views.
[Note for RV/trailer users: We are at the top of a 1.7 mile hill, of which more than a mile is dirt and the last half die or so is steep. We do NOT recommend pulling anything up this hill with front wheel drive vehicles, especially in wet conditions. If there is any question, be sure to message us for more info.]
[Note for GPS-reliers: some GPS devices try to send people up the back side of the hill, which is not an adequate road for any RV or even some cars. Your route should take you to Beacon Hill Road via VT route 110. it should NOT take you to Beacon Hill Road via Brook Road!]

Everybody needs to stay here! What an incredible place to camp, in a little book atop a windswept hill in Vermont... This is the best place anyone in my family has ever camped in our many years of experience. The hosts were amazing, the pond was a great swim, sunrise and sunset were both stupendous!
Our stay at the Windswept Acres Campsite was AMAZING! It exceeded our expectations and is quite possibly the best spot we've ever camped! It was a pure bliss staying on this beautiful piece of property and we definitely will be coming back!

It was a peaceful and welcoming place to be! Just what was needed. Recommended for those who want or need to feel a state calm and warmth from your hosts!

We stayed here for an extended weekend with our dogs and had a wonderful time. Doc (and his whole family really) were an amazing host, very welcoming and friendly, we felt like extended family by the end of our stay. The campsite is right off a picturesque dirt road of Vermont, easy to get to, hard to want to leave. With there being hiking trails right on the property and private pond that was a treat to swim in, feeling on top of the world. I would highly recommend this site and would love to go back for a longer stay!

My wife and I found some much needed Zen here. The site was well maintained, beautiful, incredibly scenic, and fun. I highly recommend staying here.

In search of that peaceful easy feeling? Look no further than Windswept Acres! Beautiful, private location with lovely views and surprising amenities. RV site has 20 and 30 amp electric, potable water spigot, and waste dump connection (grey water only). Doc and Sarah are warm and welcoming. This was our first booking on Hipcamp, and it is a true gem. We will definitely return!
