Whimsical & welcoming!
This was such a cool place! Stefani was very accommodating and a great communicator. The site was colorful, whimsical, and welcoming. It was pouring when we arrived, so we didn’t get to enjoy the fire and the space that Stefani worked to prepare for us, but we enjoyed talking with them in the morning before hitting the road. We’ll be back again, though - hopefully to enjoy the swimming and hot tub - and see what interesting new changes they make!
Such a unique stay! Stef did everything to make us feel comfortable and at home. The hot tub was a highlight of our weekend. The dogs and chicken friends were great too. Would love to come visit in the spring and we highly recommend this place :)
Great place!! We got in late and went to the lake at the bottom to have a peaceful camping experience amongst the frogs. The property is very funky and cute, functional and artsy. Great hosts as well! Enjoyed having a cup of coffee with them and their doggos, would definitely come back.
My family had a lovely 4 day getaway over Labor Day weekend. We really enjoyed our stay at the Vermesa. The camping spot was private and had convenient access to a swimming hole and outhouse. Stefani and her family were very friendly. kind and accommodating. Next time we will definitely take advantage of some of the extras the Vermesa offers — massage, kayak rentals and especially the hot tub!
We had such a nice stay at The Vermesa! Our hosts were so friendly and helpful. The site we stayed in was private and beautiful. Loved the art, gardens, and frog pond. Our kids enjoyed playing with the dogs, they are so friendly! The easy to find location off the highway and easy access to the site with our small skoolie was a bonus. Definitely recommend and hope to stay again!
First, the positive things: the location was extremely convenient, not far off the highway. The hosts seem very nice. Their dogs were friendly, and my dog really enjoyed playing with their young dog. It was also a short drive into Bellows Falls for food or other supplies. The Vermesa is decorated in a true Vermont hippy vibe.
The negative: There was some food wrapper trash at the tenting area. I didn’t bring a big trash bag with me so the best I could do was gather it up and put it in a pile off to the side.
Everything was as described- Perfect place to stay on a spontaneous night away. Very relaxed and welcoming a
atmosphere. The hosts were great and two friendly resident dogs were a bonus! Would definitely stay again.
Stef and her husband were both amazing hosts! We had some car trouble (thank god it was on the campsite) and if I wasn’t for them, I probably would have had to pay some to help!
The campground is exactly as described - a hippie, feel-good environment with creative, recyclable art!
2 cute (Well behaved) dogs we’re onsite too!
