Cute cabin, quiet night!
Had a great stay at the Plumbroke cabin! Ross was very friendly in accommodating our last minute booking even though we arrived late. The cabin interior met all our needs, there were two small personal fans and the bed was actually really comfy! The electricity lasted through the night and the outhouse was clean and not too far. There was ample space to add a sleeping bag or two as well. I will say the entrance platform is a steep step for anyone with limited mobility concerns- not a big problem, I'm just short and overpack! Would definitely stay again.
Quiet, remote cabin in the woods!
Ross’ cabin is super cute and cozy! Gorgeous farm and pond property. Tucked back in the woods and very remote…..good way to unplug for the weekend! Highly recommend if you like the rustic charm (has electricity and outhouse is near by). Bit difficult to find in the dark, but Ross was very kind to meet us at the base of his driveway and lead us to the cabin. Nice host and communicates well with quick responses.
Weekend in the mystery machine
Excellent. Very therapeutic experience. Will return to the van later this summer. We lucked out and got a private pond to swim in for the weekend. Dog loved it. 10/10. Thank you, Ross for your hospitality, flexibility, and helpfulness.
Cozy rustic getaway
We really enjoyed our stay at Plumbroke Farm! We could imagine it being perfect for the warmer months, but it was plenty comfortable with the heater and lights during the colder/darker season. Thank you to Ross for making our stay feel cozy - we'd love to return!
Ross was extremely welcoming and had such a cool piece of land. The cabin was wonderful (even in the winter) and it was set on a beautiful pond. Would definitely like to go back at some point!
So beautiful! I was spoiled to be the only one on site so the privacy was amazing. This is the perfect site to be comfortable but still connected to nature. Host is so thoughtful with making it a beautiful comfortable place to stay. I can't wait to go in the summer to swim in the pond!
Perfect weekend getaway
This cabin is beautiful and remote, our dog Bean had a blast running around off leash and learning to swim in the pond! Well furnished and very homey, would 1000% recommend :)
The cabin is really cute and nestled into the woods and the pond is beautiful with a little dock and slide going into it. If you're into stargazing you can find some clear spots without trees overhead to get a look at the extra dark skies there.
There were a couple of things that I wasn't quite expecting- in the directions to get to the actual cabin you walk towards the outhouse to find the trail that leads you there but when you hit the van you went too far. The trail is much closer to the other site than I thought it'd be so it felt like I was encroaching on their site each time we went to and from the cabin. The second thing that surprised me was that the fire pit and table are down the trail and over by the pond, not right outside the cabin and since you have to walk so close to that other site it felt a bit awkward at times.
Other than that though it was a really nice stay, the little towns around were perfect for a stroll and we took a prefect hike up Bald Mountain which isn't too far away. Ross respected our privacy and when I asked if we could avoid in person contact due to covid, he happily agreed.
