Kingdom Trails, one of the premier MTB centers in the nation is less than an hour drive. Excellent road biking accessible right from property.

Over 5 miles of private hiking trails range from easy wildflower meadow walks, to more challenging rolling paths through our woods and around working beaver ponds and wetlands. The Long Trail, which runs the length of the Green Mountains of Vermont, is only a couple of miles down the road. We can arrange a shuttle, if needed.

The Missisquoi River has several popular put-ins and scenic stretches to paddle. Nearby lakes and beaver ponds offer flat water and loons. Guided canoe trips are offered seasonally on the nearby Lamoille River.

Many trails nearby, however they don't start on our property. We can accommodate vehicles with trailers during your stay. A valid Vermont VASA registration would be required for OHV trail network access.

Hazens Notch, Lake Willoughby(ice climbing), Wheeler Mountain, and Smugglers' Notch are all within an hour or less drive. Indoor walls at Jay Peak Resort are 25 minutes away.

We live in a land locked state sooo... But the Waterpark at nearby Jay Peak Resort DOES have a standing wave FlowRider that is the next best thing.

Public access beach areas at: Lake Eden, Lake Memphremagog, and Lake Champlain. Splashing and cooling off along our stretch of the Missisquoi River or Ace Brook, is just outside your door.

Gihon River - Johnson, VT Guided canoe trips with some rapids are also offered on the nearby Lamoille River in the next river system to our south.

We regularly see many species of birds such as birds-of-prey, Great Blue Herons, songbirds, and hear the evening song of the Whip-poor-wills, Tree Frogs, and Spring Peepers. Calls in the distance of a morning rooster will remind you of your country setting. Moose, Deer, Black bears, Coyotes, Bobcats, Raccoons, Snowshoe Hare, Hawks, Owls, and Wild Turkey are also on the property. Flora and Fauna are everywhere.

We have a 30 acre stand of mature Eastern White Pines with much of the remaining 100 acres of woodland a mix of successional Maple, Birch, Beech, Cherry, Ash, Fir, Spruce, and Hemlock. Many different kinds of mosses and ferns cover the forest floor during the growing season. We are on the edge of the Northern Boreal forest and have the plants and wildlife that inhabit that eco-system.

We are located in the heart of the northern Green Mountains. Vermont isn't flat and our land and trails aren't either. We have a few flat trails in wildflower meadows but most of our hiking paths are rolling and rugged with occasional views of more distant peaks. You're in the natural, mountainous, woods.

In addition to the Missisquoi River and Ace Brook, there are several un-named springs and spring-fed streams in the nooks and crannies of our property.

The Missisquoi River and Ace Brook have a couple of spots to submerge yourself within walking distance. A variety of larger swimming holes are found within a short drive.

Several working Beaver Ponds on the property along with the surrounding wetlands. Spring Peepers and Tree Frogs sing among the marsh plants in the evenings.
