Our cozy, private, rustic mountain yurt is a 30’ foot space located in an upper field tucked into a wooded hillside. Views facing east are great for watching the sunrise and a kitchen and outhouse mean you’ve got everything you need to get out of town for a few days.* The location provides a serene, intimate getaway for couples, artists or anyone looking for a bit of mindful downtime and introspection. The yurt is insulated and heated by a wood stove. It is equipped with a full-sized bed, couch, breakfast table with four chairs and night table. Linens included.

Surrounding fields are available for tent camping should you want to host a larger event and use the yurt for its kitchen and gathering space (the furniture can be removed). The yurt and its verdant surroundings are great for day-long wellness retreats, sound baths, yoga workshops, art classes and more.

Farm tours, floral workshops and personalized catered meals by Blossom Kitchen and Catering, the on-site vegetarian kitchen, are available upon request for delivery to the yurt with at least two days’ notice.

This is a perfect relaxation spot for bikers and hikers - Just beyond the yurt you can enjoy, or even help to improve newly constructed mountain biking trails Addison County Bike Club’s members have been working on. Rivers and lakes with swimming holes are an easy drive away, as is the charming mountain village of Bristol, with a fully stocked supermarket, two breweries, restaurants of all price ranges, shops and more. We are 30 minutes from the Burlington International Airport, and the closest Amtrak train station in Rutland is an hour drive.

It is best to arrive before sunset. Please do not arrive in the middle of the night.

My partner, pup, and I stayed in the yurt the first week of November and it was amazing! While definitely very chilly, the wood stove kept us toasty and the kitchen was so cozy to cook and hang out in. Jill was a responsive host and the area is a quick drive to Burlington and other scenic areas. The kitchen is fully equipped and the yurt even has outlets!

A few tips that may help you plan your trip to the yurt:

1) If you have a low-rider car (or one that is not great off-roading) park by the first bark and walk up to the yurt. Not only is it more scenic to walk, you don't run the risk of bottoming out or getting stuck if it's wet (which we almost did).

2) Bring extra dry firewood and starters. There is wood there but it isn't covered well so if it rained recently you won' have any luck with the woodstove. They sell firewood and starters at the 7-11s in the area. We used at least two chords per night, but plan to buy more if you are having an outdoor fire (they have an outdoor fire pit) and/or pan to add fire throughout the night.

3) If you're heading there in the colder months (October-Spring) bring extra blankets or sleeping bags if you don't plan to stoke the wood fire all night. We needed our 40-degree bags plus a wool blanket bc we did not want to wake up to add more wood and we really needed them.

4) Bring a headlamp, the compostable toilet is down about a fifteen-second walk from the yurt, but it is very dark at night.

5) If it is rainy or wet then freezing be very careful walking on the boardwalks that connect the yurt and kitten to the driveway. It rained then froze over and I took a fall bc I wasn't paying attention.

We had an amazing time and will definitely be booking this place again. Thanks Jill!

The side opposite of the kitchen, looking over the fire pit, farm, and mountains. There was even a dog bed in the yurtOur little guy was right at home! Inside the kitchen cabin

A spacious yurt with a very comfortable bed, good view of the night sky through the sky dome. The yurt is well situated discreetly in nature but not isolated. Overall, nice and clean! Loved the separate dining annex—fully equipped. Beautiful location and views. Even the latrine was the cleanest I have encountered and also had a nice view into nature. The town of Bristol has amazing restos. Wokky’s—terrific Chinese food, Bobcat for fine dining and Mr Snaps for breakfast and sandwiches. Suggestion: know how to manipulate yurt window flaps. Jill was very responsive and prompt, a pleasure to deal with.

Gorgeous views, comfy yurt, lots of beautiful hikes nearby, and a great little mountain biking loop on the property. We loved our stay! The kitchen room was a bonus for us as we could whisk the earlier-rising kid into that room at daybreak and let the others sleep in a bit. The yurt wasn't listed with a bunk bed but had one when we arrived, which was also a big bonus for our family of 5. Check in/out was easy. We would definitely stay again.

We had a great stay. It was fun to live in a yurt for a few days while exploring the region. Everything on the listing was accurate. Thanks Jill!

I would have to say we were disappointed with our stay. Some lights didn't work, there were mouse droppings/cobwebs that were not cleaned up, there was a mouse bait block on a kitchen shelf, the food wasn't cleaned out of the refrigerator, there were no matches, paper or kindling for the woodstove and the stovepipe appeared to need a cleaning. For the price we paid, we expected a bit more from the accommodations. There is a difference between rustic and shabby; It just seemed like there was not a lot of care taken.

I would recommend staying at this yurt if you want to relax and get away! It was quiet, beautiful, and secluded!

For anyone who loves yurts as much as I do, you will love staying here. There are plenty of natural outdoor spaces to enjoy, and plenty of space to be nestled inside the yurt. You may hear traffic or farming equipment, but you will also hear woodpeckers, mourning doves, owls, and coyotes. My yurt visit was definitely a momentary slice of heaven.

Jill’s yurt was absolutely wondering, we enjoyed our stay tremendously! The location was serene and private, and the views were incredibly. The kitchen was a nice plus to have to cook breakfast and other meals. The site was well supplied with firewood and kindling for the fire pit and wood stove. The farm stand across the street had delicious precooked meals and fresh produce! We would highly recommend the yurt and stay to anyone

The yurt was beautiful on a cute farm with lots of firewood. It was peaceful and relaxing. There were some issues. When we asked for kindling and help with the woodstove to heat the yurt the host initially expressed she didn’t want to come help, though the signage in the yurt indicates they can show us what to do in person and that kindling is provided. When we returned to the yurt after being out for the day, the power was out and the host was slow to respond and seemed to find helping us an inconvenience (we did get it working - there are circuit breakers under the yurt). The kitchen is cute but the oven doesn’t work unless it’s on broil and there are no utensils to eat with. Overall a restful stay but some troubleshooting required.
