Welcome to Minor Deviation Farmstead! Site Details: 1 -- We have two sites. Silver Birch which can accommodate a 4 person tent (or 2 small 2 person tents) and Pine Grove which can accommodate a 2 person tent. Groups of 6 will need to divide up between the two sites, which are a short walk down a mulched path through the woods. 2 -- Fires - All fires must be conducted in the firepit, regardless of which site is being used. Our Story: We are an up and coming homestead, run by two engineers, that are slowly starting our off grid life in southern Vermont. The name comes from our career paths (A Civil Engineer and a Mechanical Engineer) that are choosing to deviate (albeit minorly) from the social norms, and creating a magical place to people to re-engage with nature. Our property features a mix of deciduous trees and large beautiful old growth coniferous tree's that spoke to our souls. There is a small creek that runs through the property and old stone walls that make you ponder about the farm that was once here. The Area: We are within 20 minutes of 3 Mountains for downhill skiing, XC Skiing, and Snow shoeing. We are 5 minutes from The Ledges, a great place to enjoy a sunset over the lake. 10 Minutes from Downtown Wilmington and 5 Minutes from Bear Naked Brewing and Vermont Distillers. Also within a short distance is a multitude of hiking areas. > (5 Minutes) Hog Back Mountain, Mount Olga Lookout Fire Tower > (10 Minutes) Mt Haystack Trail, Deerfield Ridge Trail, > (30 Minutes) The Long Trail Come - Sit - and take in the quietness of nature.Pitch your tent in our Meadow lined with Silver Birch and Red Pine! The property will be rented to ONLY your group. Experience the calm of the Vermont Green Mountains as you listen to grouse and wild rabbits in the thicket, while only being a 5 minute drive to lakes and hiking, and 10 minutes to Wilmington for good beers and great food.  All of our sites and mulched and flat. As two people who love camping, we know what campers appreciate :)  Site Details:1 -- We have two sites. Please only use fallen deadwood near the mulched trails. Do not use the wood on the parking pad, we are seasoning it for our off grid winter cabin and this is our only heat source.  If you would like to buy firewood Shaws in Wilmington is an option, as well as many places along the road sell firewood as well. Please only use local to prevent the spread of pests.  The Area: We are within 20 minutes of 3 Mountains for downhill skiing, XC Skiing, and Snow shoeing. Silver Birch Meadow
Simple, quiet and effective
We had a great experience camping at Silver Birch Meadow. The host was very friendly and helpful. The property, with directions from the host, was easy to find. The Meadow site has everything you need and nothing you don't. The steel cart in the parking pad was a nice amenity. Coming back to the dead quiet and solitude of site after a long day of hiking and exploring was a major plus.

Silver Birch Meadow
The campsite was great! Out spot was private with trees surrounding but close enough to the road for easy access. We had a great time watching the stars and chilling out by the fire. Would definitely go back!
