ABOUT THE CABINS:
There are 7 cabins of varying size and capacity situated in private forest nooks on the eastern hillside. The cabins are constructed of local rough-cut pine with tin roofing. The tin roofs keep you dry and warm but can get loud if it rains so we recommend bringing earplugs just in case. Cabins are equipped with a meditation cushion, an adirondack chair, a hammock, and a 5-gallon jug of fresh water for drinking and washing. The cabins do not have electricity, heat, wifi, or running water. They are also not insulated. There is a vent in cabins that is open. Dress warm, weather can be variable.
Watch your head when climbing into the top bunk. They can be challenging to enter and exit. be careful and watch your step and head. Have fun !
No Shoes ; ) Please try to enter the cabin with your shoes on as little as possible to keep the floor and rug clean. Keep the doors and windows closed as much as possible to keep bugs out. Spiders and ants sometimes make their way into the cabin. Wood spiders are harmless and can be easily removed by yourself with the broom that is also supplied in each cabin.
No fires, candles, incense, smoking, or burning anything inside the cabins whatsoever. Please do not cook open fired cooking on deck of cabin. They are made of wood. Wood catches fire. All cabins are easily accessible to all vehicles but recommended AWD/4WD vehicles/SUVs. FWD vehicles (e.g. a car) enter at their own risk , we have not had trouble , take it slow and thoughtful . We recommend parking at the bottom of the hill, across the street, in the field designated for parking if you feel concerned .
There is a designated fire pit central to all the cabins. This is a communal space. Make some friends.
CELL ; WIFI:
There is no cell phone service in the valley. Cell service picks up again 10-minutes down the road near Lake Fairlee at the intersection of route 5 and route 244.
The Wifi network is shared by our on-site practitioners who take precedence over its usage. Wifi is available to guests outside the wellness center at the red barn at these times: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu – After 5pm until 8am the next morning
Fri, Sat, Sun – All day, unless otherwise specified
We know that sometimes being in touch is important but we do encourage an offline experience as you enjoy our campus and services. Unplug and connect with nature. Password: MilldaleGuest
FOOD; SUNDRY:
Wings Market is also nearby on route 5 for food supplies and fuel. We operate under a “Pack in / Pack out” policy — this means that anything you bring needs to leave with you, including and especially any food scraps, which should not be left on the ground anywhere.
WILDLIFE ; FIRE SAFETY:
Fire safety is paramount on our property as we are surrounded by forest and rain has been relatively scarce. All open fires must be in designated spaces and require permission from your host before lighting. Drown all fires when done with water provided.
Bears, coyotes, owls are among the most frequent visitors to our farm. Bears love food. While Bubbles the local black bear is harmless, she will do what she can to gain access to your food. Keep it in the cabin or in the car and all doors properly shut. If you happen to see her, give her plenty of space. Coyotes come out at night to sing in the woods. Keep your pet on a leash at all times if you take them out after sunset. Owls communicate at night, as well. We, again, recommend earplugs if nature’s night noises might keep you awake. Be careful for poison ivy, uneven ground, rocks and streams.
Careful entering and leaving Cabin area. Drive slow please.

Milldale is amazing. the sunset and fireflys were stunning. the sauna and cold plunge is a must do. thanks guys
We really enjoyed our time at Milldale. The views are beautiful and it provided the right amount of distance we needed from city life. I can only imagine what this place looks like with a few feet of snow...
The host was very nice and helped me find my way to my cabin! Beautiful views and it’s nice you can stay secluded on the top of the hill or walk down and join an activity!

Beautiful setting, clean lodging and great to disconnect from the world and relax.
Lovely 2nd stay at milldale farms
Lovely second stay with Milldale Farms! We were going to camp but given unsure weather, we switched to cabins which they were very helpful in changing for me. This is the perfect place to get away and chill out.
Our stay was amazing! The cabin was so cozy and perfect to disconnect and spend time with each other. They offer so many self care activities, yoga class was so much fun, the massage was much needed after our hike and the horseback riding was truly an experience. Wes is very friendly and made us feel welcome along with everyone else we met there. Such a warm and happy community. We definitely will be back! Thank you!
Absolutely Amazing!! Very comfortable cabin beds and showers and shooting stars and the VIEWS and the wildlife coyote howling all made such an impact all of us spiritually. We LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT IT!! Keep doing what you’re doing because it’s PHENOMENAL!! We definitely aim to come back!!
