THE CABINS: #1 is on the map as #5 , #2 is on the map as number 6 , and #3 is on the map as number 7 . Farm map is in photos. each cabin has 1 full-size bed, sleeps up to 2 people in  7x10 cabin, un insulated. Dress warm and bring cozy sleep gear.

ABOUT THE CABINS:

There are 7 cabins of varying size and capacity situated in private forest nooks on the eastern hillside. The cabins are constructed of local rough-cut pine with tin roofing. The tin roofs keep you dry and warm but can get loud if it rains so we recommend bringing earplugs just in case. Cabins are equipped with a meditation cushion, an adirondack chair, a hammock, and a 5-gallon jug of fresh water for drinking and washing. The cabins do not have electricity, heat, wifi, or running water. They are also not insulated. Bring warm sleeping set up for yourself. Weather is variable in Vermont.

No shoes : ) Please try to enter the cabin with your shoes on as little as possible to keep the floor and rug clean. Keep the doors and windows closed as much as possible to keep bugs out. Spiders and ants sometimes make their way into the cabin. Wood spiders are harmless and can be easily removed by yourself with the broom that is also supplied in each cabin.

All cabins are easily accessible to AWD/4WD vehicles/SUVs. FWD vehicles (e.g. a car) enter at their own risk , we have not had trouble , take it slow and thoughtful . We recommend parking at the bottom of the hill, across the street, in the field designated for parking if you feel concerned .

CELL & WIFI:

There is no cell phone service in the valley. Cell service picks up again 10-minutes down the road near Lake Fairlee at the intersection of route 5 and route 244.

The Wifi network is shared by our on-site practitioners who take precedence over its usage. Wifi is available to guests outside the wellness center at the red barn at these times:

Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu – After 5pm until 8am the next morning

Fri, Sat, Sun – All day, unless otherwise specified

We know that sometimes being in touch is important but we do encourage an offline experience as you enjoy our campus and services. Unplug and connect with nature. Password: MilldaleGuest

FOOD & SUNDRY:

Wings Market is also nearby on route 5 for food supplies and fuel. We operate under a “Pack in / Pack out” policy — this means that anything you bring needs to leave with you, including and especially any food scraps, which should not be left on the ground anywhere.

WILDLIFE & FIRE SAFETY:

Fire safety is paramount on our property as we are surrounded by forest and rain has been relatively scarce. All open fires must be in designated spaces and require permission from your host before lighting. Drown all fires when done with water provided.

Black bears, coyotes, owls are among the visitors to our farm. Bears love food. While Bubbles the local black bear is harmless, she will do what she can to gain access to your food. Keep it in the cabin or in the car and all doors properly shut. If you happen to see her, give her plenty of space. Coyotes come out at night to sing in the woods. Keep your pet on a leash at all times if you take them out after sunset. Owls communicate at night, as well. We, again, recommend earplugs if nature’s night noises might keep you awake.

Be careful for poison ivy, uneven ground, rocks and streams.

We look forward to having you here for a retreat!

100 % as they said in the description! Very quiet and cozy! I recommend you get there during the day to just get the layout better than at night! Very relaxing and easy!

We absolutely loved it here. The only thing that would have made it even more perfect was to be able to have our own, private campfire at our cabin.

Due to the weather we left early- understand you policy for no fires by the campsites however it really takes away from the camping experience. A fire by the camp would have made the difference. We only spent one night.

Milldale Farm is the picturesque Vermont farm I envisioned staying on, and this place did not disappoint, instead it exceeded my expectations. The cabin is cozy and a perfect space for a romantic weekend getaway. I plan to return next summer and take advantage of the offerings on the property.

Great little cabin in the woods. Be sure to take screenshots and download maps before heading out. And bring a lantern/flashlights, especially if arriving in the dark. Located on a really beautiful property with places lots of great fall activities nearby.

This was possibly the best vacation away my s/o and I have taken in a long while. We spent 5 days here but genuinely could have easily stayed longer. The cabin is quiet, private, and clean. The host does a fantastic jobs at not only giving a variety of options for activities up front but also in quick responses with any question you may have. I highly suggest staying here for as many days as you can, it’s truly a unique experience you can’t get many other places

Everything was okay, but there was even no light, the light they provided was can’t even light itself up. And the bed was not comfortable at all, since the frame was for a twin but the mattress was for the queen.

If I knew I wouldn’t book the cabin, I would get the campsite and know what to expect.

But it was a peaceful weekend getaway for me and my friend.

The listen suggests you to bring your own flashlight as you are off the grid. The bed is a full size bed , not a queen , as mentioned in the listing.

My aunt and I came up here for the night for some relaxation. We booked last minute so we got the last cabin available which was private. The land is so beautiful and the stay completely exceeded our expectations. Rama Wes, Kayla and their family were so hospitable and incredibly welcoming. We did the sauna in the evening and dipped in the brook which was so healing. They had the fire going which was so nice to sit by after. We enjoyed laying in the hammocks and listening to nature. The next day we went on a trail, about 4miles round trip, which was 5min away, and at the top saw the white mountains! Yoga was offered in the morning but after such a relaxing evening in the sauna we ended up sleeping in. We felt so much peace and tranquility all around. We will definitely be back. It was a magical experience and just what we needed.

Yoga classes are held hereEnjoying one of the hammocks You can book bourse ridesSwings are fun:)
