ABOUT THE CABINS:

There are 7 cabins of varying size and capacity situated in private forest nooks on the eastern hillside. The cabins are constructed of local rough-cut pine with tin roofing. The tin roofs keep you dry and warm but can get loud if it rains so we recommend bringing earplugs just in case. Cabins are equipped with a meditation cushion, an adirondack chair, a hammock, and a 5-gallon jug of fresh water for drinking and washing. The cabins do not have electricity, heat, wifi, or running water. They are also not insulated. There is a vent in cabins that is open. Dress warm, weather can be variable.

Watch your head when climbing into the top bunk. They can be challenging to enter and exit. be careful and watch your step and head. Have fun !

No Shoes ; ) Please try to enter the cabin with your shoes on as little as possible to keep the floor and rug clean. Keep the doors and windows closed as much as possible to keep bugs out. Spiders and ants sometimes make their way into the cabin. Wood spiders are harmless and can be easily removed by yourself with the broom that is also supplied in each cabin.

No fires, candles, incense, smoking, or burning anything inside the cabins  whatsoever. Please do not cook open fired cooking on deck of cabin. They are made of wood. Wood catches fire. All cabins are easily accessible to AWD/4WD vehicles/SUVs. FWD vehicles (e.g. a car) enter at their own risk , we have not had trouble , take it slow and thoughtful . We recommend parking at the bottom of the hill, across the street, in the field designated for parking if you feel concerned .

There is a designated fire pit central to all the cabins. This is a communal space. Make some friends.

CELL & WIFI:

There is no cell phone service in the valley. Cell service picks up again 10-minutes down the road near Lake Fairlee at the intersection of route 5 and route 244.

The Wifi network is shared by our on-site practitioners who take precedence over its usage. Wifi is available to guests outside the wellness center at the red barn at these times: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu – After 5pm until 8am the next morning

Fri, Sat, Sun – All day, unless otherwise specified

We know that sometimes being in touch is important but we do encourage an offline experience as you enjoy our campus and services. Unplug and connect with nature. Password: MilldaleGuest

FOOD & SUNDRY:

Wings Market is also nearby on route 5 for food supplies and fuel. We operate under a “Pack in / Pack out” policy — this means that anything you bring needs to leave with you, including and especially any food scraps, which should not be left on the ground anywhere.

WILDLIFE & FIRE SAFETY:

Fire safety is paramount on our property as we are surrounded by forest and rain has been relatively scarce. All open fires must be in designated spaces and require permission from your host before lighting. Drown all fires when done with water provided.

Bears, coyotes, owls are among the most frequent visitors to our farm. Bears love food. While Bubbles the local black bear is harmless, she will do what she can to gain access to your food. Keep it in the cabin or in the car and all doors properly shut. If you happen to see her, give her plenty of space. Coyotes come out at night to sing in the woods. Keep your pet on a leash at all times if you take them out after sunset. Owls communicate at night, as well. We, again, recommend earplugs if nature’s night noises might keep you awake. Be careful for poison ivy, uneven ground, rocks and streams.

Careful entering and leaving Cabin area. Drive slow please.

We look forward to having you here for a retreat!

Very sweet spot nestled on a hill. Cabins are basic, cute, clean. Lovely walk around the farm property as well. This would be awesome to rent as a larger group with everyone in a cabin & a communal fire pit. We have a blast! Enjoy!

What a gem of a place! We just got back from a 3-day weekend trip there with our two teen/tween boys and had a wonderful time. We stayed in bunk cabin 3 which we highly recommend. Morning views of the valley from the porch are breathtaking. The fall foliage was gorgeous in October! The cabins are exactly as pictured. Clean, small, cute. If you aren’t used to camping or roughing it a bit, this might not be your thing but it was ideal for us. I took a fantastic yoga class with Wes one morning at the barn and he was so kind since even though I am not very good at yoga. My husband and I joined the Saturday night sauna and it was a great new experience. Everyone was so kind and welcoming and Chef David was churning out insanely delicious pizza in his fancy pizza oven next to the sauna. Great vibes! We met fun people around the fire pit back at the cabins each night. I also ticked a box on my bucket-list by taking a French Bread class at King Arthur Flour (just 25 minutes away). Their cafe and gift shop are a great stop even if you don’t do a class at the baking school. We also hit up Riverview Farm in Plainfield, NH (35 minutes away) and had a great time picking apples, pumpkins, raspberries, flowers and getting lost in their corn maze. Great place! A dream autumn in New England weekend.

This is the best place! We had such a relaxing weekend. We rode horses, did yoga, swam, sauna, and some stand up paddleboarding! Wes and Kayla were excellent hosts! I highly recommend the guided hike, SUP adventure, and pizza and sauna night. This was the perfect place to unwind and experience great friendships! The shower water was hot, the weather was wonderful, and the whole farm just oozes friendliness. Do yourself a favor and go!
