We have a great view of Stratton and Bromley ski mountain from our hot tub. The property is full of apple trees which attract deer to our property and we hope you will pick some apples!

If you are lucky, you’ll be able to see moose and bears...and for sure our lab Simon! We also have a brand new sauna by our pond.

Our little dream cabin in the green mountains! Back in the day, we had a ton of Morgan horses munching away happily in this very spot. Not wanting to do an all new home... I salvaged a 200 year old barn from Hoosick for the remodel! The build took almost 2 years and every original barn board is back up on the wall and ceiling. This is upscale cabin living ( Wolf and GE appliances) with all the original rustic charm! We have a hot tub and a nee sauna on the property too!!

When we arrived at 3:30, check in time is 2:00, the barn had not been cleaned, linen was being washed. We were told different stories why it would take another 90 minutes. Bathroom was especially deplorable, toilet did not flush and was extremely unpleasant. When owner was contacted it fell on deft ear. The setting was not as described, Maintence could have been better. Certainly not worth the money, very disappointing. Would not recommend this site.

Response from Loana, the Host, on September 15th, 2021

The guest was informed that our cleaning lady had a problem cleaning the cabin giving that she was going thru a medical procedure. As soon as the guest contacted me I called our cleaning lady immediately to fix the problem and clean the cabin. Once she arrived to the cabin, Margaret and her companion were being extremely mean and offensive to her. Our cleaning lady called me feeling mortified by their behavior and feeling threatened by them. It didn’t surprised me because they were being extremely rude on the phone with me as well. I called Margaret to ask her to not be mean to our cleaning lady, people make mistakes and also I explained to Margaret that our cleaning lady was going thru a hard time with a medical procedure. She still did her part to fix the problem. I told Margaret that if she was unhappy, I would give her a refund as soon as she leaves the property, but she chose not to do so. After that Margaret never called me or texted me about the toilet not working or any other issue. I don’t recommend renting your place to this guest because she was extremely mean to me our cleaning lady. If you find and issue in our cabin, and don’t find yourself happy with it why would you choose to stay? I provided you a refund and you didn’t take my offer and never heard back from you again.

My mom has always had this dream of staying in a barn. I was able to make that dream come true, we made her cry out of excitement! The barn was beyond perfect! We were there for two nights and rained basically the whole time! It was so beautiful to sit on the porch and enjoy the sound of the rain and nothing else! The bed is super comfy and the cabin was not cold at all! Everything you need to cook is there, just bring the food! The only thing i recommend is maybe bring slippers as splinters are a possibility as it is a barn!
Def visit Taylor’s farm that is close by for cheeses and to see the animals!

I highly recommend staying here!
