Bicycle the many local roads and especially link to Local Motion rail trail that travels across lake Champlain to Colchester , VT and travel 16 miles one way to Burlington . 1 mile north on West Shore Rd to Health Hero Farm with beef, eggs , cheeses and incredible Carmels for sale. View their pasture raised beef and farm . Wednesday and Saturday visit local Champlain islands farm market with a huge variety of local produce. 1/2 mile to South Hero town beach for good swimming and view 400 birdhouses . Apple orchards and playground on South Street. Ice cream and snack bar 1 mile away .

Grassy area behind barn

Not as posted, no privacy/bathroom

The post looked great so we were very excited for our stay, but unfortunately instead of a private area near the water behind the barn they had us park in their front yard which was on a main road. They also didn’t have a bathroom we could use, which was difficult as there was no where private we could even sneak off to go - being on a road and drivers/joggers coming by and the hosts were out in the yard doing work and feeding the chickens. We ended up only sleeping here and not hanging around relaxing and cooking like we normally would have as it felt like we were intruding. Beautiful area, however, and would definitely come back if the campsite was a bit more private.

Beautiful farm right on the lake! Nice grassy spot to camp with potable water and bathroom. Would definitely stay again!

Grassy area behind barn

We parked our campervan here for 2 nights and it's a great spot! Kids were so excited to find the fairy castle and loved watching the chickens and pigs. Adults very much enjoyed the wine up at the winery/tasting room :)

I was super stoked to be able to stay in such a beautiful area and Julie made it so easy to happen! The spot was amazing, and had awesome views and right next to their winery. I was able to have access to the local beach down the road and even got tips about shooting stars. I would definitely come here again with my camper van.
