This campsite was so perfect! The views of the stars at night were incredible and there were great hikes close by. Our dogs loved to play in the river and the space was perfect for our group. Thank you to Peter for a lovely stay! We will definitely be coming back.

Exactly as described. Private, beautiful, and easy to access. Quiet throughout our two night stay with sounds of nature and the lovely creek. My children swam and our dogs had a blast. Peter had a grill, fire pit, chairs, and more. It was exactly what we hoped for. Many fun day trip activities nearby. Will return!

Loved this nice little spot! At night we could hear the babbling brook and could see the stars.
Peter was a great host and it was a secluded but easy area to get to!!!

This was the first time I've been camping and really felt like it. To be fair, this is my first season out without the family, but Pete's campsite really felt like another place.
The stream right out behind the campsite was the perfect place to get away when the sun got too hot, and the open field was a wonderful place to stargaze once the sun set. The view of the mountains is wonderful, and with a corner shop just a 10 min drive away, there's just enough of a safety net if you forget something without having to deal with the noise of a busy road.
The only "detraction" is that there aren't any sturdy trees for a hammock, but unless thats how you plan to sleep it really isnt that big a deal.

A baby gray tree frog who was snacking on some bugs in my tent! The frogs are audible at night, but not deafening (in August, at least xD)The stream as seen behind campsite 2A daytime view of the mountain, as seen from where I placed my tentSunset over the mountain

The campsite was everything we wanted and more! Our dogs had an absolute blast in the river and the scenic views can’t be beat. The campsite is close to Mt. Ascutney for a nice hike and the site was secluded so we felt like we had the space to ourselves. Looking forward to booking this site again!

Site 3 has tremendous river access with a nice sandbar to hang out on during hot days and a private camping area above with chairs, a table, and fire pits. If you're looking for a cool spot in southern VT with access to water, hiking, food, and more then look no further.

We had a lovely time at site 3, and Pete was very responsive to my messages. We enjoyed exploring the creek that's just a few steps behind the campsite, and the dogs had a ball splashing about in there too.
