This camp site is at the historic Springs Farm in Guilford Vermont which was a destination for the "water cure" in the 1870s. Visitors can camp/park overlooking a field of wildflowers and views to Cemetery Hill ridge.  We have a growing berry patch, friendly free range chickens, and a beautiful meadow view.  Watch the bats come out and the fireflies dance on the field -and see the milky way on a clear night.

On 12 acres with 200+ year old maple trees, the farm is in Guilford Center. The town's natural playground/playscape is at the bottom of our driveway. So is the Guilford Free Library (with free & fast wifi), one of the state's oldest libraries.  4 minutes walk and you are at the trailhead of the Weeks Trail and the 175 acre Weeks Forest, a wonderful walk for all abilities along the Broad Brook. We're a mile from the covered bridge and swimming hole at the Green River --and 10 minutes off I-91 and Brattleboro center.

This property is a gem. Chuck and Mary welcomed us and made us feel at home, while also respecting our privacy during our 3-day stay. As promised, we parked under the ancient maples - the largest we had ever seen - overlooking a lovely meadow. Although close to Brattleboro, it felt like we had arrived at another place and time 100 years past. On our 9-week journey, it was the most unique and lovely place we stayed. Since ours is a tiny teardrop-style camper, access to the sink and toilet in the back of the farmhouse was appreciated.

My family and I had a lovely stay at Chuck's place in Guilford. It's a beautiful peaceful spot. We hiked the nearby trail (site of the old mineral springs), enjoyed sitting around the firepit, and marveled at the old barn and farm buildings. Chuck was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommended!

Chuck's farm was just perfect: bucolic, historic, and very comfortable. The spot is on a spacious lawn overlooking fields, with the farmhouse and barn behind you. Easy access to electricity and water also helped since we were traveling with a toddler. Chuck is a lovely host; he was available and communicative, but totally respected our privacy. The spot is a short drive from Brattleboro, so we took advantage of the amazing food coop, restaurants, and shops. Highly recommend!

Chuck was the perfect friendly host - he accommodated our late arrival time, and even had a fire ready to greet us on the crisp night! He wasn't kidding about the night sky either - his remote property is the perfect spot for enjoying some peaceful camping under the stars with everything Vermont has to offer. The historic barn is magnicificent, and there are even trails within walking distance. It's a great spot for groups as well, highly recommend camping here!
