With 238 acres, you'll feel like you are the only one there. However, you are close enough to town that you can enjoy the local restaurants, shopping, and the amazing Desert Wave pool (250 E 500 N) just at the foot of the hill.
If you are looking for a shower, $2-4 will gain you access to the showers at the pool depending on what time you go. Once there, you may decide to stay and enjoy the waves outside or go do lap swimming in the indoor pool. If you are looking for a little extra challenge, ask about renting the Wibit (a fun obstacle course that floats on the water).

Campground has a network of trails that was fun to explore both with and without the kids. Lots of site options to get away without being too far. The host was friendly and helpful.
Great mountain biking location
Fun being right next to mountain biking and exploring town of Price. Wave pool was a hit.
We spent one night as part of a road trip west in March 2022. We loved this spot and will be back for sure to spend a coupe days and explore - just passing through was not enough. Site was flat, clean, and comes with tremendous views (its high desert so be mindful of cactus). Very convenient from the highway and decent road access for our Transit Van. Host came out to visit and share some history. She was very responsive to our pre-reservation queries, friendly and helpful. Looking forward to a return visit.
Beautiful Campground, very isolated and quiet with wonderful views. Host was super friendly and helpful. Would certainly stay here again.
Great location and views but windy
The site had great views and the directions made it pretty simple to find with checking a map. I think we may have just gotten unlucky but during our stay it was very windy so it was hard to find a location far enough from the cliff and with protection from the wind.
We had a great stay! We needed a place to camp for the night and Wood Hill was great. The views were great and Michelle was quick to come help us find the best campsite. I appreciated that our fire pit was built up to safely protect it from wind. The port o potty was gone for the winter but we were a short drive from a public vault toilet - handy! In town we had no problem finding basic supplies and hot coffee. I’m not sure when we’ll be back that way but I’d definitely recommend Wood Hill and I’d stay there again if the chance arose!

Michelle was a great host. She knew exactly where to put us based on the weather. 10/10.
Wonderful experience with my family
Michelle was a great communicator with what to expect and how to find the location and that really helped set me up for a great experience. The property is remote enough to experience nature but also close to amenities like town, the local pool, and food. There is no town noise up on the plateau and the sunsets and sunrises are incredible! The bathroom situation is a porta potty which worked fine for my family but I can see how, on hot days, it might not be ideal. The road to the campsites is soft dirt so it might be hard to navigate in the rain or in a lower vehicle. My RAV 4 did just fine.
Overall it was a great experience and my husband, 4-year old daughter, and I really enjoyed our time on Michelle's property. The proximity to the local mountain bike trails and a remote experience without being in the boonies was exactly what we wanted and the Wood Hill Campground delivered!
This place is minutes drive from all that the town of Price has to offer while affording you all that the beautiful Utah country side has to offer! On top of a plateau, you can look down on the surrounding area and enjoy amazing sunsets and sunrises. The short cedar trees and shrubs provide good protection from the wind.
Read the description thoroughly to temper your expectations. This is a minimalist experience. Uneven terrain requires searching for a good place to pitch your tent. Soft dirt offers ample opportunities to get vehicles stuck. Recommend 4x4 or at least higher clearance vehicles, but that’s probably obvious to most experienced campers in the region!
Really great bang for your buck! 🥳👍
