Experience the Wild West in Luxury!

When you think of Western United States, you think of the early pioneer settlers. Rolling below the beautiful cliffs of Zion and Bryce, our pioneer ancestors experienced the simple yet breathtaking landscapes through the windows of their covered wagons.

Enjoying these beautiful parks while staying in a Conestoga wagon is unique, spiritual and down right exciting. WhisperingPines Glamping Resort allows you to do it with all the luxuries and conveniences of the 21st century.

Whispering Pines Glamping Resort is easily accessed off HWY 89, perfectly located only 35 min from Zion National Park and 40 min from Bryce Canyon. (Right in the Middle)

WP Resort currently has 4 Conestoga Wagons located in the most beautiful valley.  After entering through our unique gate, you will meander 1/2 mile under towering Ponderosa Pines, through our flowing grassy meadow, below the white cliffs, past grazing mule deer up into our hidden getaway full of waterfalls, manicured bluegrass sod and old time relics from past.

Our Wagons are great for couples, solo adventurers, small families and even large family reunions. If your family is larger than 18 individuals, we have a large grass lawn for pitching tents and RV hookup pads as well (Electric and Water).

1. Each wagon sleeps 4 with 1 king bed and 1 bunk bed (One of our wagons sleeps 6: 1 king bed and 2 bunk beds)

2. There is no water in the wagons, but you will be within 50 feet of a water hydrant and your private bath and shower room.

3. Each private bathroom has a shower, sink, toilet and heater. Towels will be provided.

4. Each wagon has a small refrigerator, a microwave, Coffee maker, BBQ grill, picnic table and a fire ring.

Along with the national parks, our guests enjoy all the activities we provide such as a horse shoe pit, many hammocks for reading and relaxing, 2 separate waterfalls and streams for the kids to play in. A 4,000 sqft grassy lawn to play soccer and volley ball. We also have a basketball hoop, a trampoline, a large swing, a tomahawk throw (adult supervision needed) a tree hut with kitchen for the little ones, beautiful hills for hiking, and a huge meadow for flying kites and playing kick ball. We even have special fairy huts and lightning bugs in the trees bringing that fun magical atmosphere.

The large grassy meadow lying beneath the white cliffs is always full of grazing mule deer. Make sure to bring your binoculars so you can see them up close.

We have gone to great lengths to display some of the original history of our valley. The site is carefully decorated with original features such as the two-seater out house used by Old Grandpa Tom and his wife. Also, Seaman's Canyon was originally homesteaded by John and Alice Seaman in the mid 1800 s. They had a lumber mill. We found their big pile of scrap wood and have made some neat displays of items commonly found in lumber mills at that time.

(Fun History) 2016, Dr. Robert Barrick and Family of 6 kids left their 6000 sqft home on the golf course in Cedar City, and moved into a 700 sqft, 1960 s hunting cabin off the grid. At the time, it only had one bedroom and a loft. With a record breaking winter (350% of normal) the Barricks grew close as a family and learned how to do hard things as they labored together to help build what you see today as Whispering Pines.

That first year proved to be a defining and character building time for them all. From their generator shed burning down leaving them with little power for over a month, to their daughter being attacked by a bear and courageously chasing it off the mountain. The Barricks had a year to remember.

As you sit and watch the deer peacefully graze out into the meadow, you can hear the wind whisper through the pines. Listen closely and you will hear Ol Tom Haycock and John and Alice Seaman welcoming you to his cherished valley.

Grocery stores are 20 min away so make sure to stop at a grocery store on your way in. Coming from the North, shop at Panguitch, Coming from the south, shop at Kanab or Terry's or Family Dollar in Orderville. If coming from Cedar City, shop in Cedar city.

There is a gas station only 2 min away that provides your normal gas station food along with some pretty good steak burgers, chicken wings, and hotdogs. If you are wanting to eat out, I suggest traveling 15 min to Duck Creek village where there is a great deli called Martin s Corner Deli. Hatch also has the Cafe Adobe (closed Sundays and Mondays and close sometimes at 7pm) so go early. Orderville has a great german bakery and a pizza place.

We LOVED glamping in our covered wagon at Whispering Pines! We stayed three nights, and it was a definitely high point of our two week road trip. It was even better than we had expected. There is a heater in the wagon, which we turned on a couple of times to take the chill off before going to bed and when we first woke up. There are electrical outlets and USB ports. Very spotty cell coverage, but we didn’t care about that. The outlets were handy for me to charge my zillions of camera batteries, though. One unexpected treat is the adjustable electric warming pads in the mattresses. It got cold at night, and we were able to stay toasty warm!! Before retiring, we relaxed beside the outdoor campfire every night! There was plenty of wood. We enjoyed lovely conversations with Christy on a couple of occasions, and loved playing with their adorable and very friendly dog, Harley. The private bathroom was warm and clean. We made use of the laundry facilities on the premises. The fairy houses are adorable, and the mini ponds are full of fishes. Everything we great. We highly recommend!!! Thank you Robert and Christy!

My family spent two wonderfully nostalgic, yet incredibly comfortable, evenings in these wagons. Grills, tables, campfire rings, umbrellas for the sun, and even a nice personal shower and bathroom that everyone is happy about... not to mention the heaters.

There seems to be cell coverage during the day... but at night there is hardly any. But it IS camping... visit the Pinewood Restaurant for breakfast... best one around...

We left a bundle of wood... think about doing the same for the next folks if you visit...

Evening next to the wagonWhen we showed up everything was perfect.

This place is so pretty. So much attention to detail esthetically and just as much to functionality. The hosts are very friendly and offer a wonderful family experience. They really put effort into making your experience wonderful. My teens stayed up late into the evening hanging out with their kids and in the end made some long distance friends. The beds were so comfortable and facilities we very clean.

What an amazing alternative to traditional camping! The owners were the nicest people you can imagine, the wagons were very clean with super soft linens and bedding, the heating and AC were a plus despite the wonderful climate at 7,000 feet, laundry and grill were high end, and the bathrooms were absolutely fabulous. I loved the serenity of this location as well. I highly recommend this experience. Our rambunctious teenagers loved the games and hammocks, as well.
I’d suggest picking up groceries to grill out in a town prior to arriving - grilling utensils were provided, too!
It’s located in a great spot between Zion and Bryce, but I’d recommend hiking Bryce from here.
Book early to make sure you don’t miss our on this hidden treasure. The night sky and Milky Way (or 5am sky for the early hikers) are brilliant, too!

So beautiful, the smell of the forest was delicious.. they are sharing their slice of heaven and we felt very special to be a part of it for a few days! We booked site 1 and our kids loved the tractor made from an old tire zip line/ swing what was near the site. The bathrooms, fire pit, BBQ, table with an umbrella, hammock, BEAUTIFULLY made glamping wagons.. oh em gee!! Everything was so beautifully designed and thought out. The perfect get away.. Can’t say enough about our stay! They were so awesome too! Loved it all.

Site 1Site 1- we brought our airstream but won’t next time bc we didn’t realize the wagons were so big and have literally everything we needed in them!! Forest play house goals

We booked super late and had no problem getting there! We were greeted so warmly, and made to feel at home. Even though we got there late we were still offered fresh donuts and given a little tour. Can not recommend this place enough!! Our only regret is not having more time to spend here because the grounds looked absolutely beautiful and the wagons and bathrooms were pristine! Such a cool night!
